TLDR?

"Chitin derivatives were the key components of mealworm carbohydrate with a yield of 4.7%. In the scanning electron microscopy images, a lamellar structure with α-chitin configuration was observed, and mealworm chitosan showed multiple pores on its surface. The overall physical characteristics of mealworm chitin and chitosan were similar to those of the commercial products derived from crustaceans. However, mealworm chitin showed a significantly softer texture than crustacean chitin with superior anti-inflammatory effects. Hence, mealworm chitin and chitosan could be employed as novel resources with unique advantages in industries"

"Goldfish require a high-protein diet consisting of 30-35% protein. They can tolerate more meaty foods than other fish.

They ( mealworms) also contain more iron, zinc, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium than other insects commonly used in fish feed. Mealworms are also rich in B-vitamins and linoleic acid."

"The nutritional composition of a mealworm by one analysis is as follows:
  • Dried mealworms (moisture removed, so all other values will be higher): 5% moisture, 28% lipid, 53% protein, 4.1% ash, and 8.5% carbohydrate."
Found a big bag of dry mealworms for a good price. Looks like I could blend them with dry peas\pulses in order to make a complete food.

Hopefully,,, the waters are what they eat.

I've used them as live food for Catfish and as dried food for the same fish, and Goldfish should have no problem eating them. I myself had two pretty large Goldfish (before one of the Catfish got pissed off and killed them) and they would even eat Guppies. Friend of ours breeds guppies and brings over lots of them when she's out of room since, well, the Catfish and Oscar have room for them in their tummies lol.

I held every female I came up with, and they are identical as clones. The only difference I have spotted, is that each one seems greasier than the last.

Excellent mosquito control. I got a soft spot for livebeares.

Didn’t have anything to feed them to.

Was reading in chito stripping. Needs acid washes, complicated industrial processes, and the like.
Same as humalite and leonardite extraction, just to complicated,,,
Or is it ?

Nature provides.

Ammonia

I got a whole tote full of nitrosoma and nitrobacter.
Ammonium begat, Nitrites, begat Nitrates.

By Bunbuns munch vitamins and minerals all day long. Bust down that cellulose, and hit it twice, just in case. ?
My aquarium will consume my compost.
Wash that piss clean.
My wormory will drag mycos across the land.

Capitalists have discovered many methods of isolating the things we want into a bottle. Anything my garden needs, I could buy a can of it somewhere,,,
Refer back to the diagram, think of all the retail products that are available therein. I don't want to buy all that stuff.
It all comes down to the inputs.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to buy bug dust at the store. It is a very cool concept.

That was my original draw to the meal worms. I had two containers of fish food from the same company ,both were insect-based, but one was labeled "goldfish". Upon closer inspection the goldfish formula had more Soldier fly.
Back in the day, when I made my own fish food, shrimp meal was the main source of protein. I know these exoskeletons can be good for our Gardens , and I felt like they should join the party.

It is the long game.
Inputs, opportunity, and time.
I don't know how to manufacture all of that fancy retail stuff
But if I invite the right company over, they will do it for me.

Question.

How many slabs of coco can Jewels fit in the backseat of a Honda ?

Yeah that's a beautiful strain :) Finished pulling mine last night in the Snow LOL. I'll get a sniff report once she's not hanging next to everything else. I do FINALLY have a few nugs of her though that appear to be "dry enough to sample" (Sounds so much better than fuck curing it I wanna try it LOL).

I saw a meteorite tear a hole in the sky tonight. I didn't have my Sextant handy but she burned a good few degrees, at least.
From what I could tell it was heading straight towards G's house,, I hope he's okay.

First kill off the season! This thing was already budding heavily when I received it from @Kanzeon. I figure that puts it somewhere around 10 weeks
20221118_150324.jpg

This was camouflaged Outdoors for some time, in the raspberry patch. Unfortunately that situates it directly downwind from the bunny Hut. Regardless of the stem rub there's going to be a certain musk in there.

I cant get over how fat and Indica looking those leaves are

Good eye, Red.
I think it is environmental.
I struggled with High humidity, and low night time temperatures at the beginning of flower.
Then I had a good waft of stray pollen move through the whole room, very early in flower.
To top things off, up until a few weeks ago, I had chronic low light intensity.

I want to believe that somehow a combination of these three things has subdued production. There are a few plants that carry that stubby look.
It is hard to say, because most of this stuff is new to me, although I am not seeing it on Plants I am familiar with,, so who knows?

Take a look at this Sin City juice. Ovate leaves and she is hardening off fast.
