Detroit expatriate, with short roots. personal closet with 400w MH high bay and bagseed in '02 evolved to a caregiver running brand name strains with 12kw of HPS doing work, and 4k MH looking for new work in '17.
Things ended very abruptly and I'm lucky to be here. everything but debt and life was lost.
flash forward to now. the debt is cleared, and the trauma is far enough behind, that I've been milling over some small scale stuff, kinda back to basics.
i exchange hours of my day for cash in the remodel/construction industry. i had my feet deep in the doorway on local house flippers, and when the state went legal, more than a few of them used empty property for caregiver operations and offloaded the overages to dispensaries. move forward a few years, and the multi state operations have lobbied the panel to disallow caregiver product in the dispensaries. overnight the small guys just SANK. i had guys begging me to take top shelf pounds for $250. and i had guys that made the shift to keep it legal.
it really is surreal to walk in a sealed barn with 3000ft²+ of surgically pristine grow lab. that will never get old.
working in those places, I've learned that smalls and larf have negative value to them, and a lot of the time, just saying it looks like fire can get you an arm load. failing that, i poke their ego with a comment about how it looks almost as good as [random name]s [random popular strain], and by then, they've gotta show me they do better ;D
but man, todays for-profit McFlower just doesn't do it for me. i don't know if it's the garbage nutes ( techs at house and garden must HATE cannabis growers), 2800ppm for all 6 weeks they flower ten week strains at, blasting it with bleach vapors to meet mold limits, hlvd from clone whorehouses, or they didn't find the right pheno out of 84 phenos on their 117 way Instagram cross (just cross it with chem dog again, right?)
and lately, I've been taking issue with dabs and the chemistry in them. how can i be
to the bottom of a baller bucket, and snag one dab that just puts me sideways? what are you guys using for 'terps'? learning there's system that extracts dabs using Freon. I've NEVER seen a CoA that reported if the Freon was purged. without getting to sciencey, hot Freon = very bad way to die. think ouchie seizures and liquid bones.

so here i am, with y'all. hoping to put together some of what i miss, and was just beyond ecstatic to see that you have not one, but two breeders that still hold breeder Steve's LUI. for all the genetics i played with in the early 2000s, spice of life and Legends seed had, bar none, no exceptions, the most healthy, consistent and sexually stable genetics. want proof? find ANYONE who did a seed run on sweet tooth, and compare to ANY other seed run.the same, huh? i chose sweet tooth because it's STILL popular for a reason.
I'm guessing misterd farmhouse had a scheduling issue, as i believe he moved his release from spring '23 to fall '23, but it looks like kropduster will have his july 6th.
i got some new stuff from kropduster a few days ago, soon I'll toss up something about my journey.
don't sleep on that lui! there is a solid reason I'm looking for something they kept for nearly 20 years.
