Thanks for the info. I was going to look them up tomorrow. They kind of remind me of seahorse heads. I’ll read up in Indian pipes

Yeah i thought it was but i dont really know much about mushrooms.. when i google chicken of the woods they look like a orangey color..
Yeop all the ones I have seen are vivid, but the range of how some mushrooms can look is quite insane. Environment has seemed to be the best way to figure out what you have. But sometimes look alikes have common habitats....I'm far from eating more then a puffball or morel lol

Have found about 10 cottonwoods and a bunch of sugar maples for potential pluteus americanus. I will eat them if I find them with a blue foot. But most my downed trees are nut trees. Maples are the dominate new growth.
