Hydrolyzed whey protein

I have done some research that suggests hydrolyzed whey is highly beneficial for plants. I’ve read that it’s the ‘secret ingredient’ in ANs Big Bud, and other bloom boosters. I’m curious if anyone has any info or first hand experience using hydrolyzed whey in their nutrient schedules.

Protein is nitrogen.

Got me reading this
Makes sense they would do this in a clay loam soil.

Amino acids.

I use a hydrolyzed soy protein Fertinitro plus and would consider switching to whey. What products are you considering @MostHigh

I have already purchased a sample half pound from a company named MBFerts. They sell liquid and powder nutes and supplements and have their own line of grow and bloom with boosters. I got some whey, some carbohydrate booster and their early bloom booster. All powders. The only one I have used so far is the whey and my plants look fantastic. I have been spending lots of time in my rooms lately and I’m super on top of shit right now so I can’t say for sure if the whey protein is having a positive effect or not. It is marketed as agriculture whey. As @SSGrower said, protein and amino acids are the building blocks of life. When protein is digested or broken down, amino acids are left behind and perform a variety of beneficial processes inside the plant cells.

Come As You Are
Did you ask this question somewhere else recently?

Anyway, if it was you, my "answer" is still the same... doesn't Dr. Earth Metabolic Transformer have whey in it.

I had to hunt it down.. it's quite old now(2012) and the ingredients may have changed but they don't list them anywhere now.

Here's a screenshot of the ingredients from their blog courtesy RIU

Wisconsin whey. Everybody back the f*ck up!

Not sure how much the whey plays part, overall, but whatever's going on, my plants like it and it's ""seems"" to balance the soil pH. But without actual testing I couldn't tell you for sure.

now i have more stuff to learn about, unless someone can slide me a recap of why i need or want this over anything else.

i see the 6n coming from the protein, but the 1p-2k? is there something they're not talking about in there, or would a diary byproduct have levels that high?

i just read my milk jug, it's got potassium, and if it's got calcium, it's probably got phosphorus.
