I’ve been a Cavie keeper for about 25 years now I love them they are always happy to see me and love to cuddle and hide in my beard ... here’s one on my latest beautiful female named Cream Caramel her rosette is perfect And you can see her scalp right in the centre ill be showing her next month at the Hobart Cavies show . OD .

Guinea pigs are awesome bro, i had a little pack of em as a kid people dont believe me they are quite chill and very sociable critters

my daughter had one for a while. i must say i miss having all that bedding/manure for my compost pile.

My kids had hairless ones. They were cool, they looked like little hippos but the squeaking drove me nuts.

Like, could a person set up a colony, or are they typically penned individually ?

when I was a kid we had a little black one that was quite friendly & followed us around like a dog a very nice little creature

That is such a beautiful color on your girl. I hope she takes the show. My neighbor had a garage full of shaggy copper colored ones, when we were kids, and we got all the cavie love we could handling and taming the babies for his sales. So much fun.
