These hbxc99 keep catching me eye.

I Chopped down the stray stray and cherryg and also 1 of the orangecookiediesels last couple weeks

Its kinda nice having smaller sized single cola plants right now bc i can process them quicker.
And trim hasnt been much at all so it's a hidden blessing to me for now. I hang the plants to dry for 5 - 10 days. And then maybe a couple more days for bigger buds hung in paper bags. At that first 7th day i can usually press or smoke the lowers if needed 😁
Buds for curing are usually in jars before 2 full weeks with a burping schedule in place still.
Heres some of that stray stray, already been tested. She's a hitter but not much on any flavor. Just some smoooth tasting head bonk action

This girl was interesting at first but i am over her now lol
Its a rosetta 78 brosgrimm tester bean, looking more like some ace seeds stuff.
I cloned it abunch too bc it was a beast in veg and i thought i found a real runner....
But it has no strong smell or distinctive qualities. The first few weeks in flower i believe it had my neighbors sneezing. It put out a noxious almost itchy smell then mellowed to nothing much.
O WELL 🤓

Ran it with no problems but never paid much attention to it either. She snuck up on me bc i been enjoying the way she hits! Wayyy more gas than mint. Has that oily heavy smoke that i prefer and a spacey stone.
Had me walking around the yard with abunch of dif things in my hand and i couldnt figure how to open the gate 😂

I am bad at documenting everything but i keep some notes in my head i swear!

That oaxacan x angel wing afghan was one of the most interesting highs i have had in a minute.
The taller one i called a haze pheno and it was my fav. around 10-15 mins into the high i would get an up, euphoric physical buzz feeling that was great. Shortly after it would mellow into a cozy, relaxed feeling. I havent had true rollercoaster high like that in awhile. And no paranoia or muchies. I loved it and cant wait to hunt for her again in the new seeds!

I got more plants outside now. Some already sexed and took the males out. Kept some pollen from a sour d x dla5 freebie. And i have a male i will use on some girls that is from a north indian kush cake cross i keep around. Only got 1 kush cake x female and its showing purple from the start of flower, which is fun bc it is not cold at all out here. Truest purps !

I told myself it would it would be a flower run this time but then i already dusted branches of several plants wt kush cake pollen.
I am going to f2 that same kushcake x.
F2 some hawaiian peaches just cuz.
and f2 a forbidden fruit cross i really like and want to explore.
Then i have some purple lemon thai and flying triangle to sex in the next week or so...
Have to resist the f1/f2 urge!
I have a hard time bc running stuff once doesnt seem like a fair assessment of a plant outdoors here. It takes a grow or 2 to acclimate alot of genetics to this environment, in my experience...

I am starting to connect wt some old timers out here and its funny bc they freak at how much i try to accomplish, just for my own interest. Alot of these guys just grow whats handed to them. No clones or seeds sold out here so people literally pass stuff around. I can't imagine just growing whatever. Things need to change for the better. So i made it alittle personal mission to hook these kine guys up and help them get something going. Hopefully have a cool update on this oneday and hoping to come across a true hawaiian cannabis historian wt a collection 🤞🏼

hopefully i dont always answer in story form though 😂

Our water is low ppm from the tap. We live far from honolulu but oahu is so populated that most areas hv connected to city water by now. Yr question sent me through a rabbithole of board of water website.
They say it can be between 15-325 ppm depending on where u live and what pumps/areas they are using at that time.
There are areas, esp outer island that use well or catchment. Hawaii has alot of contamination in areas from military and long term ag use. I am always paranoid they pump nasty red hill water up to us more country folk 😬

I use tap for the fish and try to change out 25% or so of that water every other week. Basically scoop water and pour on veggie and yard plants. I got into outdoor aquaculture before i was growing da kine kine. It was a passion hobby and i had more income and resources bc i worked at an small local enviromental/geotechnical drilling co. out here. They closed down all the sudden and we all grabbed the leftover stuff.

My setup has devolved over time and is on its last leg so to speak. I actually consider going all soil bc i am overwhelmed these days and when aquaponics goes south it gets real bad real fast !!

I scoop net fish from streams by me. Now i only try to keep the invasive fish (tilaps/misquito fish)
When i had a big 300g caged tote before i had 6 dif kinds of ocean fish that i netted as babies from streams. Thats was when things were to most interesting. my fav was seeing hawaiian mullets zip around, flashing everywhere! Eventually i had a big die off and got rid of the big system. gave it to a friend. Now i have maybe 3 60/70 gallon totes. One is for the fish and is too small. It feeds one flood/drain bed and another nft style bed. That one i went full experiment and lowered drain pipe, screened it well and filled wt soil ontop of the cinder rock. Trying to replicate mini groundwater system so to speak. Its working ok but the soil layer needs to be thicker i think. Its all wacky and i would do it dif if i started all over.

I will gwt a pics of the fish but its only 5 or 6 now. Ones a big boss tilapia that i should take out. It is a bully. I have one aholehole left and i love seeing "silver" ocean fish fly around in the water. They change so much from juvenile phase its really cool to see what ya got months later.

If u are ever curious about it, hawaiian aquacultural history is an amazing original source of people doing it right, sustainably, wt no outside influence then. That plus hawaiians navigation skills is all mind boggling.
I found there were 12 species of ocean fish they could farm inland. And they would have flood gates during big tides and trap ocean fish for eat right then.

That would explain the diffs.
15 ppm sounds like Vancouver's rainwater. They musta dug a few layers through the upper skins of hell to find 325.
I was curious because in my mind, Hawaii'n Islands are tall volcanos with a quick courses to the sea.
I figured the streams stayed full, but I did not consider wells.
Are there freshwater lakes? Do they dam water ?

Jealous, that you have Tilapia/Talapia/ (my autocorrect is quite certain it is Taliban).
I looked around for them, before I committed to goldfish, and had no luck.

They dont have big lakes out here. There are dams but its most for diversion for ag or developmemt or flood control i think.
Also a history of neglect bc private owners can own gov regulated dams.
there is some freshwater fishing here but its a small amaount of licenses sold i bet and its all catch n release.


There has been many restoration efforts for historical fishponds. The one on my side looks awesome now and its 80 acres or something, used to be all swamp n invasive pine trees.

I would add some salt over time but nothing precise. just a sprinkle here n there! I think some can stay freshwater (mullet,milkfish) and some can stay brackish. Depends on species

Things hv been in flipmode for awhile 😁 alot more girls this round. Now night time is awsome for catching a cool ocean/garden breeze and smell abunch of dif plants off n on. Its my jams!

That bucket plant is one that went outside recently. The abrupt light change shocks em and does that color change stuff but she going to make it 👊🏽
Thats my official analysis

I saved some pollen from a couple purple lemon thai males. They all looked the same and so do all the females. Never had one bodhi pack look some similar before. The ladies are so far behind the males too, that was consistent for all plants also. Lowkey trippin. Not sure what i will do bc the super lanky plants make me think there wont be much flower, unless there is some hidden gear that kicks in later on 🤔

All the touristy, hiking pages I was reading advise: do not go there, do not attempt.

^^ some point n shoot. Need to take time and snap better pics. That big flower is from invasive cacti i found on a jobsite westside wt limited access. I guess its a carnivorous south african flower? Super cool, it bloomed for a few days and made itself into a giant ant trap. Has all these sticky hairs inside that grabs them fakas!


this is a strayfox hawaiian peaches plant i hv extra interest in bc its pretty to me... i wouldnt admit that this soon normally but it actually showed to be female. which i love it when the tallest reg plant surprises me like that! Rarely happens... took some clones too chee!


^^bodhi purple lemon thai taking her time. the males from this pack were wayy earlier blooming than the females. The pollen hit alot of stuff i hv going, on the smaller branches. Some was saved for PLT f1/f2s also




Bloodhoney x . I feel like i hv to outcross indoor genetics bc i depend heavily on the hybrid vigor to push them into outdoor winners here. This is a humid bug filled cloudy enviro, esp in winter/fall seasons. Just a theory but whatchu thinkin?

Mannnn i neva meant to ghost my own "journal" but life been crazy. i switched from labor job forever to project management position and it broke my brain! time flew by!

i will dig up some '23 - '24 crossover pics soon. but we had a weird winter here wt more storms hitting every other week for months. kona lows cold winds and then hot rains. i already get mostly runts that time of year anyways. but i use it to make chucks n small pheno hunt chucks. here is an example of the chaos that is me. all these were made in last 5 months or so!
i need to chop males down. even now i hv 2 dif males popped up that i am interested in.




here is a weirdo not sexy male from a long term chuck i hv that i picked on n stressed forever. it is called triple sammy and i used it on half of those chucks above. it showed some trichs n color. eventually it gets picked so hard it throws pollen sacs at the base. i hv had this happen before and i didnt catch it in a sea of green type grow. sneaky kine!

the female tripple sammys hv this mix i love of funk, cheese, incense/hash. heavy flavor dept usually translates to heavy smoke/taste. a trait i love

i will continue to post i swear 😅 i miss this place abunch.
