Do you think it’s just the outlets that need to be replaced? What would cause them to all stop working simultaneously?
Jag...the method used to wire new houses is called stab locking...it is where they poke the wire into a little hole and bent pieces of metal hold it in place....NO BUENO...you need to cut them off, restrip the wire, make a hook, place it around the screw with the tag end going the way the screw tightens and lock it down.

It will tell you what's wrong with the circuit.
Probably you have lost a neutral due to the "stab locking".
That could also be the crackling sizzling noise you hear...again...NO BUENO...when you have inadequate connectivity or intermittent connectivity, it causes heat, cause enough heat and you will get combustion and then an all out fire.
I have been a Master Electrician since 2002 and a Journeyman since 1984 when my HS electricity teacher took me down to take the test.
Please let me know if you have specific questions or need help along doing anything electrical.

My guess is that's one of the first plugs on that wire...
Or there's a GFI on that line somewhere and it triped..
But if I remember correctly you say it's still making noise as long as the breaker is on..
So I don't think it's got a GFI on it...

With the breaker off of course, pull that plug and put the wires together with just wire nuts and that line should work ...

I ran into the same issue using the stab locking. it melted a plug slightly. I replaced with a commercial grade plug and made the hooks. worked beautifully.

This can happen... if you're pulling to much form the plug ...

Or even this....
I need to replace this Outlet asap
I was running a heater off this plug and it's just a 15amp cheap contractor plug..
You see how it's getting hot....already 16183255538654104117424478149785.jpg

I was worried about amp overdraw on the circuit. I ran my own 20 amp circuit and did the math on my devices between 2 tents on that circuit. It came out to about 17-18 amps total load. I considered even the fact that electrical motors such as fans and other equipment can cause amp overdraw thus tripping the breaker/melting plugs. I staggered my tent timers by 30 mins to avoid any possible amp overdraw. Fingers crossed and no issues for 6 months.

It's like anything else now a day's and each yr things are made cheaper and cheaper..hell the plugs and switches that you buy today feel like there junk form day 1..... I'm surprised that you even get screws on them anymore...lol
Then we pull as much as we can through them so shit happens sometimes...

Thanks a million bro this is very helpful. This place was built in 2005, so I guess that would be considered “newer”. I think I’m ready to go out to Lowe’s, pick some shit up and give it a shot. I’m already sick of tripping over extension cords...

Just my 2 cents here.
But I would Never Just Cut the Wire Off the backs and Reuse the plug.....

I don't care how close you cut those wires you will still have a hot plug with open end wires....

That's Just a BAD Deal form the Start... Replace the plug .... It's not worth losing everything over 5 bucks......

I was under the understanding he was replacing them.
I never reuse any devices...if I take it apart, it always gets new going back in.
Yea I would for sure just replace all the parts. My ocd wouldn’t allow for re-using sketchy components lol.

The flap jacks look like still coming around from lasts transplant. I only was able to transplant 4 out of 6... two of the bags of Big Rootz I got from Grow Green Mi were absolutely soaked with what I think. Was rain water... I’ve had the bags inside for a couple of weeks, so that sucks. Not sure if they store it outside or what..But I’m thinking I might send them an email.

the two Mac1s I put in flower about a week apart are almost identical. I’m gonna defoliate some of the lower stuff I think. But all in all they look decent.

The ICC cleaned up again this year too. Was just reading the list of awards yesterday.

Everything is looking good man! Hope your electric repair is smooth sailing.
If by smooth sailing you mean still stumbling around here while hoping some magical unicorn electrician shows up to do it for me, well then yea it’s going just swimmingly!

This is my only half compliant Wedding Cake a couple weeks into flower. This is 5 min after lights on, so she seems happy enough, but I can’t seem to keep her satisfied. We’re talking 2 full waterings a day right now in a coco/pro mix blend... wait wut?
