fall so deep in love with La Confidential...
It is good news man! I am expecting another visit from the new and improved Reverend. For certain- for certain I will send some your way. Seeing as there is a full'ish pack of bckxpan here,,, I will be sending those Mofos right back in your direction,,, that is what frens do??????
. All this blue in my sun boards keeps everything super tight,
Hell ya it is, I scroll journal and every dang time I see those tight nodes ,dude.

Off topic,,, Are you using RO?
Wondering if you have checked tap water lately. I have chronic high ppm and high ph, gh etc. It only gets worse in winter.
I see paling lowers. You mentioned rust?
I think your feed strength is on ,, just tough to make them drink it sometimes. I only mention it because as I am scrolling through your pictures , I find your plants look much like mine. If I am having trouble getting them to eat I will increase ammonical nitrogen and utilize citric acid to gently drive down the pH.

Really happy to see a Chung update. Do you see diff in the Rev? Photos look similar. Just beast , eh ?
Go ahead and flower those suckers. You will end up with lunker bud. Mine didn't stretch much at all.
It is nose-to-azzholz in here.
I think my camera was being a little bit gay today. I was trying to take a nice photo of the Peyote Chung for you and the A.I.seems fixated and focused on the lower ball action

" we want the rocket !! "
One of my son's most memorable childhood quotes.
You should really watch the Maurice Richard biography ,,probably on CBC.
Was inspiring stuff for a 5 year old boy.

Good eye as always. Im not sure if I mentioned rust, or you are seeing it on the outside of my fabric pots... We have very hard water here... I have a softener straight out of my well, and one more filtration system under my sink.... There is definately a few things in here that make my water chemistry unique. I think I also have high sulfur since my water smells like eggs un-treated....

Admittedly I have stopped checking ppm and pH. Trying to chase perfection was causing more problems than it was solving. I most definately see lock outs from time to time, mostly those issues just correct themselves. I guess it could be time to re-visit, to try and iron out those small issues.

You're using softened water to grow? How much more difficult do you think that makes it? I've read about exposing cannabis to salinity and how it effects germination and seedling development but not so much about growing with softened water.

Yanno man, I never put much thought into it. I just kind of found a grove, and ran with it. I can’t speak to how much harder it actually makes things. But it could explain some of the anomalies I get Seemingly out of nowhere. Coming from a Marine hobbyists background, I think it better not to mess with my water chemistry too much beyond adding my food supplements. I’m now very curious if I switch to something like RO as I move to a bigger scale, I’m going to have to re-learn the process all over again.

Totally forgot about Jags Frags!!
The "glass box to drown money in" taught me so so much about growing cannabis.
I still think planted aquariums are the absolute best teacher for gardening.
It is like cannabis with training wheels, as many environmental factors are eliminated.
It allows a grower to postpone learning about temperature, and humidity, and watering. Just focus on nutritional interactions.

There are so many visual clues that you just don't get with terrestrial growing. Not only can You observe how the plants are reacting , you can observe how the fish are reacting, and you get visual indication of the quality of the environment. There are almost there dozen different common algae growths that will tell you what you are doing wrong with your fertilizing.
So many parallels, with more obvious (early) indicators
You know this stuff Jag,,, just musing here.

Also totally agree with you about messing with source water,,,, it always gets you in deep.
It is kind of like walking through the bush with a partner.
Trying to be helpful: manipulated Water chemistry temporarily pushes a branch out of the way. Only to run out of reach, just in time to smack water quality in the face with the temporary solution.

Hard to comment on water softeners as some of them are built around different principles.
Some methods will completely strip calcium and magnesium while leaving other constituents behind. I guess another big bad boy would be malfunction leaving NaCl in the final product. Potassium exchange would bring its own set ,,I guess.

At the end of the day, everyone is working with what they got. Just make sure what you got is not a moving target because it will always be effing with you.
A moving target will force you to play your game~ whilst it changes the rules behind your back.

Mostly here nor there,,,,, again I am just making conversation.
Your are plants are always top-notch and I enjoy admiring them, whenever I can.

Super hard water will yield much waste water and you could potentially go through filters like toilet paper. I may be talking out my ass but perhaps read into distillers to see how they compare??

The blown pvc sediment filter and carbon blocks are really cheap, it's the membrane that's the concern with hard water. I think that if he flushes the membrane weekly it should be fine as long as he stays on top of the sediment filter and pre-membrane carbon block. You can reduce wastewater with a permeate pump too., makes it more 1:1 product:waste, so you don't have to pay as much to run your well pump.

Since our rep system is currently out of service.... +1000 for @Jewels. I could'nt agree with you more, aquariums are the absolute best teachers. The fish were always the best indicators for me if something was off. Their breathing would change, and I knew something was up... I really do love those glass boxes, but I just dont have any extra money to dump into them... If I did, I probably would succumb to another edition of Jags Frags... LOL...

So many parallels tho... Both the lights, and the automation the marine world has fit perfectly into so many cannabis applications.

Also, depending on what is in your water, your water softener can remove stuff that's hard on the membrane like calcium/magnesium. What's your analysis say?

Edit: We used RO in the navy to make potable water from saltwater so if you have a salt softener and you put the RO after the softener the RO will reject about 98% of the salt in the input water, while the softener removes the elements that destroy membranes.

I def started flushing the un-topped celestial ghost too early. Next time I will let them go another full week before I start to reduce nutes
