Sorry folks, nothing much to post at the moment. The cold nights have been hindering us from planting clones and not sure I can get any with this Cali lockdown going on. If this sh*t goes on much longer I'll just start some beans. On that note, just got an order of some Fire in from Srenots (Reno Genetics)...

20200326_105433.jpg
(top left, clockwise) Kashmir99, Hyper Blue Cherry, Cosmos, Hyper Wild Girls, Kashmir99#2

I've grown the Kashmir99#1, C99, and Blue Magoo. All fire, all nice dense colas.

Kashmir99 (about 18" colas), sweetest terpy terps, very frosty, mellow but very solid clean the kitchen kinda high. I'm guessing she's got a nice % of THCv.
20191021_102611.jpg

Blue Magoo (2'-3' colas), great berry flavor, super super heavy colas (easily 10lb+ wet), mega creeper that makes you think it's bunk at 1st but then seriously kicks your a$$ in 30-45min. I got waaay too high smokin this stuff a few times. Excellent high yield rosin.

Only grew Cindy99 as a shortie in my little 3.5' tall dep-house but she was frosty as f^ck and had a knockdown high that was one of my favs.

I've heard stories of Srenots' Hyper Cherry Pie and I'm happy as f^ck to grow anything dusted with it, especially Blue Magoo. If you're interested in any of this gear contact @Srenots . His prices are good and he doesn't skimp. This is my second order and I'll keep going back every year for these genetics. My co-op and everyone I've smoked out have loved his girls (I'll take a little credit here. I do dote over my girls a lot. So far all Srenots' genetics train well and I dock the tops to bush em up and supercrop to stress them. It multiplies the trichs and ups their potency.)

My new clone connect was up in the mountains today doing deliveries. He didn't get back into town till nearly dark and I don't want to pick up the girls without sunlight to do an inspection. We'll be getting together tomorrow. The dude's got a good rep but it's always good to check the stock because even the best breeders/cloners can miss something on an off day.

I set up a closet incubator with 270w of fully adjustable CXB3590 COBs. The clones I'm getting are well rooted in starter cubes but I'm going to do an intermediate transfer into small pots and let them dig into some soil befor transferring them out to the greenhouse. The temps are still in the mid to low 40's at night and they'll be much more resilient if they're already rooted in soil before the final outdoor up-plant. Letting them root for a week will also give me the opportunity to readjust their light cycle so they don't get shocked or try to flip before they're ready.

Normally this is my bean starter closet but it will work just as well to establish clones. I've been using these CXBs since my second year growing and they've been absolutely invaluable when starting beans.

You can see on the single 100w (actually 67w) that there's a dimmer dial. It did not originally come with a dimmer, I had to install one because I couldn't lift it high enough to keep it from burning the seedlings/clones. I will also install a 100w variable driver as soon as I can find one that'll fit inside the case. It's called a 100w CXB3590 but it's actually rated to 120w. Running a driver that's barely more than half it's capability is such a waste of potential photons.

If you decide to buy Panda Grow/CF Grow CXB3590 lights skip this model and buy the 200w or larger units. The 100w is only 67w, has no dimmer, and can't daisy chain but still costs more than half as much as the 200w double.

Sweet. ???
Let the party get started, shits about to rock n roll now. Oh, I can see the monsters they'll become.
Bad ass mang!!!
I second this! Woot woooooot

Thanks everybody.

They're a little rough and there's 2-3 on the brink but dude gave me a solid deal @$10ea plus threw in 9 extra. That's real good around here for anything more established than root cubes and I got a few teenagers. I'll give em a bit of TLC and the 3590's should cause those roots to dig deep. I've seen it in my own clones going from a weak fluorescent to COB. They're only 3-4 days in the soil so about a week in the incubator should get the roots fully established.

That’s interesting. I was thinking the same thing bout my cxa s. I was feeling like the cobs were speeding up early root development but thought I was crazy lol.
Are you doin the two rounds again this season? Flowering some fairly small and early and letting others get massive?

I'm running a dep in the greenhouse then a natural. I might be able to use my outdoor garden again, so there's that, and I'm building a mini-greenhouse for breeding. Looks like probably 4-5 different grows, with two being early, one commercial and one personal. I've got to get some beans started.

Everything that's going in is in for this round. Would've been a couple days earlier but had a PM issue with the clones. Did an Eagle20 dip and I'll hit em a couple more times with a spray bottle now that they're in. Hopefully it stops this sh*t cold so I don't have problems later. If this were indoor I'd dump em and start over but PM on outdoor around here is just something you gotta live with. I'll use Gardrn Safe Fungicide (potassium salts) through the veg and early flower, they love that sh*t and it boost growth dramatically. I need to buy some of that Bordeaux mix with copper and lime for a more long term soil innoculant.

I'm tired and hurting. Used to running 6 plants. This is a whole lot more work and my broke a$$ body is saying "F^ck YOU!"

...but it's so worth it.

Hope y'all are having a good day too.

To me that looks like joy, callous's, and cans after cans of iced T. , half-drained on the first slug.

Sending good vibes for a bountiful harvest.
Stay cool, Smith.

Thanks everyone for the good words of encouragement.

Buncha ballers around here, holy cow! (y) :)

I didn't start off this way. This is only my 1st year with the greenhouse. Spent the last 3yrs proving myself with a little outdoor garden of 6 plants. This summer run is a bit stressful for me because I'm trying to raise the funds and donating most of my profit to help my cousin get her mortgage paid off. Once this dep is harvested I'll be able to do what I'm really passionate about, a large assortment of strains started from beans allowed to go full term with a natural flip. I'd prefer to run them from May-Nov but circumstances prohibit that this year.

No doubt. Started working on it in March but had to had to stop due bad weather for a few weeks. Lots of rain, low 30F's, even some snow (I'm in the NorCal Sierra just above the foothills). Was too cold to get clones till a week or so ago and then had to try to hunt some down during C-19 shutdown. Went back to work on it this last week when it jumped from daytime mid-40's to over 80F inside the greenhouse the last couple days. The work is hard but growing herb is one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. I love my girls and it kills me when harvest time comes. At least I'll be getting two runs out of the G-house this year.

Not so much Iced tea, I'm a chai addict. Though I guess an iced chai latte is still technically iced tea.

Gotta admire the work put into that.

Aside from the extreme weather shifts this is my favorite time of year. Over the next few weeks these clones will take off. If I weren't training them into a ScrOG it would turn into a jungle.

I'll often spend a good portion of the day amongst the girls in my garden, gettin high, and listenin to music and/or reading. In the last few years I've been catching up on computer tech and custom building PCs. The advances in GPUs have steered me into an interest in the current AI trend. So now, instead of listening to music in the garden I'm getting high and watching tech/AI news and interviews on YouTube. Been following this genius dude from MIT who does the AI Podcast, Lex Fridman. His main focus is AI but he interviews all kinds of scientists, mathematicians, physicists, and tech industry innovators. A few days ago he posted an interview he did with Stephen Wolfram. This guy has been working on AI since the late 70's (the AI knowledge base behind Siri and Alexa), but even more interesting, he's developed a computational system called Cellular Automata. He believes it may be the key to discovering unified theory.

Here's the link to the interview, it's mindblowing if you're able to follow it and I've got a feeling you might...

...but I digress... When I heard it I was absolutely floored. Aside from the math, which I'm pretty rusty at after not using it for over 20yrs, it totally made sense to me. Next month I'll be ordering a math encyclopedia to get brushed up and his book A New Kind of Science.

This year it'll be getting stoned in the greenhouse while reading Wolfram's essays and watching YouTube vids of his physics project updates or participating in his live stream Q&A's.

...or I'll be playing Beat Saber in my Oculus Quest (I've lost 15lbs in 2 months, hehe). Full function 6DOF wireless VR is awesome! I highly recommend if you want to lose weight or just want to do something fun when you're baked off your a$$.

--------------------------------------------------------

As soon as Musk launches Starlink and I find the right partners I plan on doing a cannabis growers show on YouTube. I'm hoping to eventually setup automation in the greenhouse and I want to document the progress with vids. If it becomes something, cool... if not, I don't care I'm just having fun. Already got a lot of the equipment needed to do streaming and after the Fall harvest (or maybe as early as the 1st summer harvest) I'll build a new Ryzen/Nvidia streaming rigg.

sign me up for results, its gonna be Fire~

I'm thinkin a little 8x8 or 8x12 with a blackout cover. Personal and friends at 1st, then maybe for sale. Haven't figured out the strains yet. I like Banana Crack or that Jack Herer I got from Phylex for the pollenators (maybe fem since I have the STS fixins). If I'm able to pull it off you'll be at the top of the list along with JWM2 and Phylex. That just seems right since it'll mostly be y'alls gear I'm X-ing. I've got a lot of projects going so it'll highly depend on how much I can bring in on this 1st run, though a mini G-house don't cost all that much so it's very likely.
