Live mealworms in frass?

Was just topdressing with some frass and when I got to the 2nd pot I noticed live mealorms. I gather this is not black soldier fly larvae as it is as marked as just herbivore insect frass.

Would you lose anything by baking it ? - and in the same breath - why should you have to ?

Literature claims it is a consumer ready product.

If I were to bet I would say yes however, I belive am mealworm will actually consume live vegitation rather than support it as a worm would.

Correct. I weighed the options, it being sunday and all,

I decided I prefer this interaction instead. Will jingle during bussiness hours to se if they are chatty.

Thats along the lines of what I was thinking they'd say after I'd looked up mealworms and what they eat. I would think them being in there may add some good bug poop for the plants as well, and further reduce any dead organic materials to plant food as well.

I am going to say they are mealworms based on their color (light brown) and the fact their response says mealworm and not BSF larvae.

Ive been considering a meal worm/frass farm for the last 6 months.
Our pastor raises chickens and we get fertile eggs always and want to raise the frass for us and mealworms for his chickys.
