I'm sure I'll be doing it too. I just hate saying it..

Ya it's crazy guy's here sale it for nothing
If you don't have a good place to cut, it's almost not worth it..
There selling face cords 1/3 of a cord 50$ for oak

In California I would cut 3 cords a yr but that wood was already down.
They will tell you where the jail boy's are cutting for Fire road and etc.
You go in behind and cut what's down from them...

I'm not sure what I'll get, I just know I need a bigger saw to run a bigger bar.i got a few I'm worried about...

For what it's worth bro I would come over and give you a hand if I lived close....one should have a spotter when cutting widow makers.
The blue saw will smoke like a boat motor with the gas mix recommended...25 to 1 is richer than my outboard at 32 to 1 and she smokes a little.
I do the same where I am at when I see wood laying around..mostly in 6 foot segments.....now my property is best place to cut, the woods are so thick you can't see past the first row of trees.
Good luck with the danger tree's!
I have a couple that split up the middle from the stump about 15 feet...widow makers from too much snow load....very scary I was hoping the snow this year would have finished them off no such luck......I will not try to fell them.

Well if it makes you feel any better I did lots of research including a call to my local saw shop....appears that Husky has a problem with heat and vapor lock no wonder he has 3 saws sitting there waiting to be started. With that information I would be looking at the same saw that Brokehoe bought or any Stihl saw.
Sorry I gave you bad information I should have looked it up first...things have changed in the last 10 years.
that riff about Husky saws is nonsense..........I have many with three of them ported and polished.

Stihl=Steal

I'll run either of my 372XP's against any Stihl in that cc range you got..........and we'd be racing for reggies. I'd get good money for your saw after you signed it over, lolololol Ford vs Chevy ;)

I've been witlin at some 60 footers for a year. Got 12 50 foot tops down last week before this snow.
Going to rent a boom bucket to down the other 2 I have cause they are rapping power lines. Some I cut were 24".
I did it all on a 10' ladder with a 10" Worx electric chain/pole saw from walmart lol.

I got 1 I'll take a picture later but if it comes down it will take out the power lines.
I had a skid steer here for a month putting in 2 driveways and pads
I was going to use it but I ran out of time
And at 2000.00 a month it had to go back lol
sometimes if you point out that potential to the power compamy.....they will take the tree out for you at least around here.......they don't want that line taken out and they got all manner of tree guys hanging around. worth a shot

From experience here in cali they will remove the tree if it is on their side of the pole...anything past the transformer is home owners responsibility.

If they do it it will be 3 days of bs, 1 to come out and look.
1 for the 1st crew to come sit around for half the day to say will be back tomorrow with a truck and more people..
