I've had the veins stripped long ago - where exactly are these valves located?I had a medical procedure today to fix a problem with the valves in my leg's veins. They closed off the veins that were close to the surface {varicose} in order to improve blood flow. Go figure . It does work, they fixed the other leg 3 months ago
Thanks pal. The veins in question are the ones just below the surface. High blood pressure caused the veins to expand over time. Unfortunately, the valves don't have the capacity to expand. In essence, like faulty backflow preventers.I've had the veins stripped long ago - where exactly are these valves located?
Wishing you a speedy recovery my man!
I’m starting to get varicose veins in one leg raising a bit . So what kind of affects did it have on your leg to cause removal if I may ask ? Pain or numbness ?I had a medical procedure today to fix a problem with the valves in my leg's veins. I’ve had the same after being a dickhead and cleaning my toenail jam out with a vitranox knife . The big toenail then became ingrown and infected . The bloody needles in the toe was no joke lol . I think the doc actually got a laugh out of it . Sadistic bastard ?Problem solved?
We decided to remove the whole toenail, The only pain wash the local anesthetics injected into the area. Hash caps and brownies for the next 5 day and continue as desired!
I was a large man in my younger days, and I couldn't get my blood pressure down where it needed to be. Because of this, high blood pressure caused my veins to expand in diameter over time. The problem was due to the fact that the valves did not expand, causing the blood in my lower legs to not clear and circulate very well. The blood in any wound, even slight ones, did not clear well, therefore fresh and healthy blood had a difficult time flushing the wound.I’m starting to get varicose veins in one leg raising a bit . I hope you don't have too much pain in the recovery. I'm about 6 weeks from the procedure and I think I'll be doing warm soaks for another week just to be safe. The leg procedure is supposed to increase the blood flow in my lower legs. They wouldn't do the leg I needed done first and so my toe has been healing at the same time as that leg. Hope you heal quickly . My wife is concerned because I have some pain but, my doctor is almost my best friend! The amount of chronic pain I had, will never be back!I’ve had the same after being a dickhead and cleaning my toenail jam out with a vitranox knife . This is a great idea. There have been a few posts scattered about and having a forum section about health issues and possible treatments would be beneficial and quite handy. I’ll put up a section when time permits, and move whatever health related threads I find there. For the time being posting in the Main Forum will suffice until that section is up.Greetings fellow enthusiasts,
I was wondering if the community is interested in a forum where we can discuss health issues and the possible treatments that have worked for members? I have a few ways that I treat my problems and am always looking for better ideas. I think that we may be able to really help one another. Any thoughts?
Sorry I didn’t see this until now. I was in the hospital at the time and missed a bunch of stuff. I’ll get on it when I get the chance. These types of discussions are very valuable and can definitely help many people.
