Hello! I just did my first fucked up harvest, but am using it as a learning experience, and about to start a monotub grow next. Probably just gonna go with golden teachers again, something cheap until I really get the hang of it. I would like to learn how to "clone" or whatever you do in mushrooms to keep them going.

If you haven't already....join Shroomery or one of the other shroom forums. (Mycotek?) It's been 10 years since I spawned any tubs so I'm a bit rusty on what forums are out there currently.

Started with the pftek/jars......... but moved to Wild bird Seed after a few goes with the jars. Huge yields from WBS in tubs when things gel...LOL.

This is the same basic tek I used. Foo Man's WBS Method - Mushroom Cultivation - Shroomery Message Board

I always got my spores at The Hawk's Eye. Did a myriad of different cultivars while doing the jars....but settled on "Penis Envy" when I started doing the tubs. Those fuckers don't dry up to nothing like the Teachers/B's/Treasure Coast/etc. Fat stems, good weight and great trips.

Don't/never knew anything about cloning. I just cooked up more seed and innoculated more jars.

So how do ya think you may have fucked up? If you got shrooms on yer first go and not a buncha green....you did OK!

Thia is going to be a good thread. Extremely interested in learning how to grow mushrooms. Looked at all kinds of kits and spores just always back off because I don't know anything about it. Hopefully I'll learn some stuff. Had one year on my little farm where I had shrooms popping up everywhere. Only happened one year though not sure reason. Animal feed didnt change no fertilizers introduced environment didnt change yet only happened one year.

Good stuff stiicky. Shroomery has been around for a long ass time, one of the first boards I lurked. I obtained some syringes from Ryche Hawk as well. Never did get to use em though.

B+ totally flooded the scene in my area when they first hit. Never really liked the effect. The PE you speak of, Idk how long they've been around, but I remember a really good batch of whatever it was back in 2000 that was nothing like the shrivel you speak of. Never had that again. Sadly I gave up and just dabbled here n there. I would definitely be interested in delving back in, especially from the microdose standpoint. We've come a very long ways from the OG PFTEK so the rate of success for a rookie must be much higher now. The one thing I'm trying to get my arms around is why my GF gets massive pain (like pancreatic pain) when infesting, even in micro dose amounts.

Sorry didn't mean to clog up the cultivation thread. Maybe we should start a general Q&A to help folks get up to speed and understand, especially from the experienced people.

I literally put off growing cubes for 3-4 years before I went for it because everything I read made it seem like such a daunting task. It really isn't that hard if you play by the rules. Hopefully we can get some of the og's to join and bring their know how. I'll share what I know, but like I said I'm still fairly new to it.

No the pe doesn't dry up the same, I've been eyeballing docsdank albino pe (ape). Seen another myco guy on ig with a fresh 160ish gram single pe. They get big lol

I hear ya about the trepidation at first in this hobby. @macsnax. I was so freaked about sterility....I did the major noob no-no (i found this out later) and wiped my kitchen down with Lysol.....and went to it. Everything gelled and I got shrooms....but i had some deformations I later learned were likely from the Lysol. Evidently I wasn't the only stupid fuck playing along in that "sterile" realm...LOL. Live and learn. From then on out I tried to keep shit CLEAN...but I never again went overboard or freaked out on "sterility".

I stepped out of the ring after my oldest son passed....and gave a buddy about a unit of shrooms cus i just didn't want anything to do with em/couldn't trust heading into the realm again with such sadness in tow. I had also just finished my first 3 trays of "pans".....and was so distraught and didn't know anyone i could give em to I could be sure wouldn't fry their mind...so I...damn.....chucked em. Ah...the things you do when yer completely fucked in the head. from grief... just amazing.

Haven't tripped since.

I'm still fried about sterility. It's things we can see so it's hard to be certain. Currently looking at laminar flow hoods, decided I like this job enough that I can put a lil money into it.

I totally understand you giving those away in that headspace. Bro I'm pretty sure I'm just up the mountain along i70 if you ever want to burn one or need anything ?

We lived on the I-70 corridor in the V V for 35 years........ now we're down South of there a few hours. Far warmer!

Growing the shrooms was great fun. The whole gig with my oldest's death and all kinda nixxed it formally...but I found out...after growing em...that all my trippin friends got old and weren't into the game anymore. Kinda like the whole weed thing....it ended up being such a chore to find anyone who wanted 'em I was pretty much resigned to letting it all slide by the time he split the rock anyway. Sure wish I woulda figured it all out in the 70's-80's. Snooze ya lose......

Lived (and grew illegally) in Homestead for 25 years (built a house there in '90). Lived at Bellyache....Eagle Vail......East Vail.....as a renter before that. (moved there in '84)

My hydro shop was located in the complex of buildings across the road from E Town/Riverwalk where the Pet Store is.........

Jesse is the Denver guy.......and there are a few others as well.

Hmmmmm... too funny. Did ya ever smoke anything in the 90's-2000's called "wheelchair"? I spread pound upon pound of that strain out into that valley for decades. Heeeheeeheee. I was doing the raisin' kids thing.....so wasn't out/in the bars/etc after '90'ish. Have a good friend who still lives there who was my guy. He worked/works in construction and knew tons of guys who were always looking. It was a crazy good mutual relationship.

Have only been back in the valley 3 times in 6 years......all for funerals/memorial services/etc.... Definitely need to head up and get together with a few folks on happier terms.........
