New Guy, Hello!

Hi Dudes, excited to be here and already enjoying the content I've seen so far. I'm a lifelong weed enthusiast, literally, some of my first memories are hanging with Dad and his friends while they were smoking. Loved the smell then and still do. Dad grew outdoor guerilla style for over 40 years. When he passed, he left us with 20+ beauties that were ready to go outside. I was 21 when I dropped my first seeds. Spent years just guerilla growing casually, not really putting a ton of effort in. About 10 years ago I started to get more serious and haven't had to buy smoke since. That was the goal. Recently got an indoor setup working, have a couple grows under my belt and might be ready to start sharing some of my work.

I've gotten some good ideas from browsing around, so thanks. Have a couple plants that are getting close, a trizzlers from twenty20 and a lemon dosidope from Briscoe's. I will get a journal entry going and get some pics up soon. Thanks for letting me join and I hope you enjoy my babies.

Welcome @jmpflyd - glad you're here!

My condolences on the loss of your Dad (no matter how long ago).
I always get a little jealous when I read about others that grew and smoked with their Pops.

Looking forward to seeing your Twenty20 and Brisco plants when you're ready!!

Wasn't too long ago, May of the worst year ever. Still miss the heck out of him.

Trizzlers is coming down next Thursday, looks done now but another week is only going to make her better. Breeder says 72-82 days, the 26th will be 82 days. I'll get some pics before she comes down.

The lemon dosidope has another month I'd guess, shes at 5 weeks now and looks white with trics. Smells are amazing, has a slight lemon smell but is really dank too. Super oily.

Thanks everyone for the welcome's.

Welcome! Cool to hear that pops was a legacy farmer and passed it on.

All of us got together a while back in a thread and really bashed heads for a while on this, maybe you can help us out; best fried chicken chain? We will accept both national, regional, and local category answers.
So weird fried chicken keeps coming up in my life. New Boss was just asking about a place he could get fried chicken (it's all he wants to eat). For the life of me I couldn't think of anyplace close. Back in the 80's KFC in town had awesome fried chicken but it's not the same anymore. Now his mission is to get fried chicken on the menu. That means brining whole chickens, butchering, breading and frying, lots of work but I'm down. Only fried chicken in town is kfc and I won't waste my money, it's too expensive. Never been much of a traveler, not having a driver's license for close to 25 years will keep ya close to home.

Last good fried chicken I had I made myself. Pretty sure I just used buttermilk/drakes/panko. Makes pretty good, crispy chicken. I also make a mean fried chicken sandwich with my lemon drop pepper jelly.

All that rambling and I was still no help. :)

What if you fried your chicken in infused coconut oil, then you could strain out any solids, add some pine nuts to the cooled [not hot] and use it as a chicken and pine nut oil, wipe it on some fresh homemade bread, oh yeah! See y'all, I talked myself hungry. It's kitchen time!:cookies:

Boy did he have some stories. Pretty sure it was his 60th year and one of his spots flooded with waist deep flowing water. He waded 50 ft into the flooded river to get his plants. Washed them, they had a lot of dirt in them and dried them. I looked at them with my loupe and they looked as good as any other outdoor grown. I couldn't believe it, that he would risk his life out there, not like it was warm out either. Probably would've never told me if I hadn't seen him walking in Oct, wet from the waist down, backpack full of herb. He was a wild man right till the end. Then there were the wars over territory. So many stories. Good memories for sure. Believe me I know how fortunate I am, not many guys like my old man.
