within a year I might be living in a dry state I'll be taking my 4x4 tent what's a reasonable priced filter that works ?
Any cheapy honestly on amazon. I get the vivosun ones for the 4 inch and they last a year atleast. Not bad for 38 buckswithin a year I might be living in a dry state I'll be taking my 4x4 tent what's a reasonable priced filter that works ?
Wanna hear something cool. Well it's cool to me but I have a cheater fan hooked up to the 2*4 and it exhausts towards the 4*4 and gets sucked in. So basically I have two tents running on one 4 inch scrubber. Not once has anyone smelled anything I'm my home .I was gonna say the same thing frim said, my 6" rocks and it was cheap from amazon.

It was first an electricity issue I didn't want to add up too many watts. Then I realized I'm in a sealed room let's just have everything sucked back into the main tent. Plus I always have at least one scrubber ready incase it shits the bedYeah some people claim you need like 8" fans for fucing 4x4 tents.. no way.. these fuckin cans move way more air then most of these growers have any clue about and you can litterally put like 30 bends in the ducts and still exhaust a fuckin tent..
Good on you making the most of what you have!![]()
Yeah I'm gonna look on amazon as well as e-bay plan is to install here & have it ready I'm getting smell 2 houses down right now I blame it on the neighbors lolIt was first an electricity issue I didn't want to add up too many watts. Go with at least a 6" for a 4x4. My experience with a 4" ran and filter, is that it can't quite keep up in a 4x4 in the summer months. The filters don't really start getting expensive until you get into the 8" or bigger. Yeah I have a friend with the 8 in. it noisy like a shop vac
That sounds pretty convincing looking at 2 of them now (6in) a 390 cfm & a 440 cfm the 390 is the quieter of the two price close to the sameI second a 6" vivosun. I have a 6" and 2 -8". I live in a dry state, vent outside, and have a State Police Detective as a next door neighbor.
Not sure how much more convincing you need...![]()

@horribleherk don't forget those cfm numbers do not reflect a single pass rating which is usually about 50% of what the stated rating is. Example would be a filter rated at 400 cfm is only affective with a maximum of 200 cfm being pushed or pulled thru it if setting up as a single pass setup. That sounds pretty convincing looking at 2 of them now (6in) a 390 cfm & a 440 cfm the 390 is the quieter of the two price close to the same
That's exactly what I had in mind & only plan on using it for the flower tent so a 390 cfm fan will only pull about 195 cfm which would I think work there is a 440 cfm option as well so 220cfm? thanks for your input this is new territory for me@horribleherk don't forget those cfm numbers do not reflect a single pass rating which is usually about 50% of what the stated rating is. I literally just put my new fan controllers on two of my cheater fans . It was twelve bucks . Go with the 6-in and you can just buy the speed controller if it's too much suctionThat's exactly what I had in mind & only plan on using it for the flower tent so a 390 cfm fan will only pull about 195 cfm which would I think work there is a 440 cfm option as well so 220cfm? thanks for your input this is new territory for me
I learned this lesson the hard way. I was trying to reduce heat when i was running a hps light. To try to combat it i turned the exhaust fan all the way up( 400 cfm thru a 400 cfm filter) which is fine as long as it is a recirculating loop. I could not figure out what was going on as they are not clear at all on those cfm ratings. I was stinking up the entire outside of the house. @JL2G got me strait on this subject he is very knowledgeable about grow room stuff. That's exactly what I had in mind & only plan on using it for the flower tent so a 390 cfm fan will only pull about 195 cfm which would I think work there is a 440 cfm option as well so 220cfm? thanks for your input this is new territory for me

Sounds like it will be a sweet set up my man. Have you checked into the system @Burned Haze speaks of yet . Sounds like a pretty cool setup. Times are a changing. Expensive initial investment but could pay off in the long run. Speaking of that @Burned Haze how much is the replacement bulb for that unit that needs to be replaced yearly ( i think) ?I do try. Lol.
Sorta in the process of revamping my rooms atm too. Lol. Adding the grow room to my house hvac system, adding a sink back there, and an RO system while I'm at it. Lol.
