OG Kush!

Yea for sure
I find myself grabbing for that jar more often then anything I have
Perfect daytime smoke without the anxiety!!
Everything about her in outstanding
I really like the Ogs but most are a little finicky
For my setup
WiFi 43 just fits my grow style and just chugs right along :stoned:
She’s another that I won’t let go of any time soon

Agree with you 110% it’s like zkittlez and many strains, if u can find a alt to them and have as a grower aspect a better and less finicky version I’m all game, i remember wasting time/sqft and major losses from many pissy or hard to grow og’s and misc strains, so frustrating but it’s all part of learning and growing eh

its hard to want to keep ‘em that’s fosure exp when we can find way easier pheno;s these days that can grow way easier and present well. I’m growing a strain with WiFi in it just for that reason, she’s crazy easy and amazing smoking . Fuck the wimps lol

Thanks @Chefdave good info on the stretch...I'll plan accordingly

Pulled this from a clone supplier’s page for skywalker.

OG Kush, as we know now, was born in a Garage in South Florida in 1991 as the result of the accidental pollination of a 12 light grow of Emerald Triangle by a pack of Nevill's Hindu Kush, which was left sitting by an AC in early flower. The entire harvest was seeded, but given the era the packs were still distributed in Orlando amongst friends. One of whom would pop some of those bag seeds and find what we know today as Triangle Kush. And another one of those friends would find the Kush seed which would later be named OG Kush, and once those cuts made it out to California they became legends.

which brings us to SoCal in the early 90s and to Los Angeles around 1993-1996, where cuts and even bag seeds of the OG had been circulated and rumors and early hip-hop songs about OG Kush packs began to spread like a wildfire throughout the scene.

Thanks to San Fran's Prop P in 1991 and the eventual passing of Prop 215 in 1996, Cali growers were moving pounds on pounds of OG packs on the trad market as well as to the burgeoning medicinal clubs and collectives that began operating across SoCal.

Due to the oversaturation of OG Packs some of these early collectives would start renaming theirs to differentiate, which is how Skywalker OG became known as Skywalker OG.

For that story, we turn to, Ron Cabrera the original grower of Skywalker OG who called the OG cut he held "Sativa OG Kush" because back then the rumor and widely held belief was that OGK came from the bagseed of the other legendary strain from 1991 known as Chemdog (which is a narrow leaf/equatorial dominant hybrid found from a bagseed of "Dogbud"), but the Sunset Collective in WeHo that he sold his packs to renamed it to Skywalker OG and the rest is history.”

I have always felt deep down, that OG Kush was a part of Chemdog's family tree in some way. They're both standouts to me.
I’m willing to bet that many ogk “variants” we know of actually are chem bagseed. But I think there is truth to the skywalker (g cut), 92/club 33 og and triangle k lineage story as well. The skywalker I have smoked has always been among the strongest flower out, and very distinct ogk pungency. Chem has always had a different effect and bouquet in my time, less lethargic and more headspin, with a different gassy tinge. My area always had more sour d vs. chem anyway.

If my experience in the late 90’s was anything similar, the growers were less likely to share info, cuts, etc. I was hanging on to the hells angel og cut like a fiend, and did not share it for some time, which drove the value up dramatically. Bagseed got run and renamed very often, wasn’t as easy to source “pure” genetics. A lot less collaboration and a lot more low key cranking out flower.
