Out in the shed - Winter 23/24

The shed beds got too dry over the dormancy period the last 6 months. I've got some good vermicompost with lots of live worms that will go down as soon as the beds get to a good saturation.

I'm reammending based on my interpretation of sample results collected at the end of my last run and will resample next spring when I shut it back down. Lately I've been going basically water only, minimal (1 or 2) topdressings with a 4-4-4 or bloom some tm-7 and a few foliars of cal carb and epsom.

To this point the 3x3 has gotten 1/2 lb (1/2 C) langbenite, 2 gallons of pumice and is being watered with a rotation of BAS big 6, rootwise microbe complete, bio phos, enzyme, or photosynthesis plus. Each watering is being pH'd below 4 with concentrated sulfuric.
The 2x4 has gotten the same plus 3/4C Rock Phosphate and 1/2C blood meal.

Been looking forward to a few things in this run for a minute, some have had a little more planning than others.

The shed is getting a pretty decent rework. Switching the door to an out-swing gave me so much more usable space. More amps than I know what to do with (almost).



I need to check out that sativa looking thing in the back left, a seed from a care package (corrugated birthday card) got loose and I hadn't a clue what it was so it got popped. It is hitting its dli pretty hard right now under only 60W max and I just swapped the driver for one that will hit 220. Pretty sure it's Lao Sa, gonna see if I can find a darker corner.

The GG4 has been on my list for a while, they seem to be stretching for more light so I'm looking to take cuts in the next couple days. Need to make a mother plant too. If anyone has tips or tricks on growing this one I'd appreciate them. Looking at it right now I'm a bit concerned about support but I think it will respond well to my pruning methods as long as I can keep the mains even.

I have a Rhodium tester that needs flowered out and I just popped some beans in water last night. Mango Biche will be documented in its preservation thread and I dropped 3 ea. Mango Tango x Oilspill @GthaEnigma , GrapesMac F2 @HBZ , Blueberry Muffin @Amarok

Plan is to do 4 in the 3x3 and 3 in the 2x4, 4 slots are full cause I'll be doing at least 2 of the GG4, the Lao Sa and Rhodium.

Summer results were a bit of a mixed bag, one I had high hopes for may end up compost (frost damage), while another shifted away from chicken dinner indoor to have a sweeter orange to it outdoor.

I'll most likely end up doing 2 sensi runs this season 2 preservation runs (think afgaan90 while MB veges) and a hemp/cbd/cbg/triploid run.

I'll get soil samples this spring to follow up on the linked post.

On that line of thinking could be he was doing as he was supposed to and they needed a scapegoat cause someone got nosy/caught. 🤦
Lots of diff scenarios my head can come up with. Lol 🤔🤔🤔 More investigation needed for a true determination of dude man.
But my statement still stands that I do wish business, government, and other such entities were much more honest and truthful in all their dealings.

I didn't read the linked article, but the ones I read made it sound like a battle between the boffins and the beancounters. Altman was pushing for, and promising, a product the geeks weren't prepared to produce.

That will be an often-fought battle in the coming years.

That was about a product not being ready, this is about the scientists pushing back against the technology being used commercially without proper guidelines regarding its use. Similar to your example, but about more than just money and marketing bullshit. (again, this is just my take based on reading a few articles).

It's sort of like first year programmer's thinking AI is going to replace them at work, when some of us laugh at this knowing full well half the people at the job could be replaced by a Shell Script on the Server haha.
