Cal carb foliar this morning. Was real nice not having to dink with the 3x3 light to get it back to the same brightness. Just set to level 1 for foliar then back to 5 (bumped to 6 ~900 ppfd after a bit).
That 900 reading, what distance from canopy? Just curious.
I should probably just re-wire the lights so they run off the 600's only. Until/unless I add CO2 I won't be able turn them all the way up anyway.
Oh just hit the nitrous button already, you know you want too. 😏😏😏
@JL2G Since the 600's each have 2 sets of leads powering the cobs each set is currently powering 6 COBS for a total of 24 and the other light has 7 COBS on each driver (only ne set of leads on the 320s)
I'd have to look up the specs, but does the 600 even have capacity for more than 6 per lead in its V rating?
can I just put 7 more cobs on each 600 by using a + from one set of leads and a - from the other?
I don't think so, i think youd have backfeed issues of some sort.
I know in ac it's a big no no, but not 100% as to how it'd apply to DC. But am assuming it'd cause issues because of the V discrepancy between channels.
But there's only one way to see for sure. Lol.
Imho the worst case scenario is it won't fire up if its not kosher.
If you violate the drivers safety parameters it'll just shut itself down or not fire up.
I've messed with plenty of meanwell drivers while powered up, and forced them to temporarily cut out when I shorted them on accident, and or touched unfriendly spots.
Was doing that when I was trying to repair those 132 qb panels, and other previous experiments I've done. Lol, soldering on a lit up board, that's me. 🤣
