IMO if you spent a grand on a drying/curing area you'd crush the 2k machine.

Lookin good.

The new humidifier has an "auto" setting that leaves it at 60% which is what I'm going for, I plan to add an a/c window unit to the room and bring the temps down as low as possible while drying in the tent. Hoping that will be easier to maintain better consistency in. Will probably grab some of the grove bags to test as well? depends on the haul tbh.

Look at the size comparison....these plants were started the same time...Auto's double the height and putting out strong secondary branching. Photo's look to be a tad healthier though.

One auto girl still looking hungry in the back, still feel like it calmag issues not really needing stronger feed. Might bump to 3 ml/g for now during the stretch. Girls getting taller fast auto's look to be starting to stretch. Pre-sex pistils showing on the autos.

Trimmed the bottom sucker nodes off each of the photos, will defoliate the autos and put some lst clips to bend the main cola over.

its a miracle....when you use a proper tank for mixing instead of making a concentrated 5 gallon batch....the silica doesn't fall out of suspension and cloud up immediately....
I'm still using a separate graduated cylinder to measure it though...

After spilling the gh micro a few times I remember why I liked the powder versions better....something something use up what I have on hand...

DWC still not happy I guess, measured the ph again and it had dropped significantly day over day, adjusted yesterday and seems stable again for now. PPM dropped over night so I'm happy they are feeding still.

Transplant day for the photos! Root mass felt solid and didn't feel anything tearing/ripping so hopefully not stressed too much. They are on a dilute solution now and will bump the formula back to matching late veg again.

Avg par/ppfd with the new panel across the middle was 900+, its dimmed down at the moment but should be decent spread across. Thinking about building a frame or 2 for keeping canopy even with lst.

Give the girls one week of veg nutes and 18/6 to recover from the move and grow some roots, then I'll flip the lights and put the curtains up. Taking the bottom nodes for clones around week 1 or 2 of flower and into the aerocloner. Try to just hold the cuts and put them in the other table until these are done, will probably have to do it twice.

temps are a tad higher but I think this was suggested for LED anyways to increase leaf transpiration? 80f 45% rh at the moment. Girls look a tad droopy but expected transplant shock....fingers crossed they recover just fine. Apparently even after reminding myself to dilute the ph up/down before adding to the tank...I was using the nute solution instead of RO and still causing issues. New tank mixed....letting it sit for an hour then will adjust ph..

Is it odd I'm using way more PH up this time than I recall in the past? 4.0g/gal maxigrow + 2.5ml/g calimagick + 1ml/g silica and my 10gal mix came out to 800ppm but under 5ph

I've kept some calibration fluid out in shotglasses and keep checking the new ph pen but it is within .1 each time of the buffer solutions.

used one of the clips to lst the main cola over on one of the autos. PH seems to have stabilized again finally, I've got a spare tank mixed up though to compare against.

only one of the transplants looking sad, hopefully she will bounce back quickly.

Tbh I've never chucked or bred intentionally, I have the flower room setup to do smaller style plants at the moment with 2 gallon containers so I'm hunting for a keeper mom. My bets are on the blackened oranges being the best out of the bunch but I wasn't sure on the germination rates of 3-4 yr old seeds so I tried a few freebies as well just to verify. The last auto plant I grew was the infamous lowryder #2 and the effects didn't impress me enough to want to try auto's again :D. Maybe these will be better but at least a chance to test the curing phase before the photos finish.

Also, why are 2x4 tents so much shorter than the 4x4? I'd like the same 6.5' headroom but most seem to be 5' or so. With the hydro buckets etc that doesn't leave a lot of canopy room.

Seeds were all feminized versions I've got some older regular strains in the jar if I want to try and find a male worth crossing. I'd rather just see if the mom is worth keeping then perhaps source some pollen from a known good if possible.
brother you're never gonna get rich quick if you're asking those kinda questions. LET THAT POLLEN FLY AND GET SOME RELEASE DATES OUT!

I hear ya man, it never feels like its right, but i always get better results when I almost underfeed. Overfeeding seems to be way more detrimental to final product quality than it just not quite getting enough.

Auto's still struggling along, looks like definite pre-flower and should probably adjust the tank over to bloom nutes shortly. Can't even really tell that I removed a few leaves and lower branches. Photo girls ~11" tall or so now and recovery going nicely. Ph drifted up a tad in the tank but ppm static and water decreasing.

a gallon gone or so and ppm down to ~650ish again on the tank, hungry lil autos. swapping from maxi grow over to maxi bloom for this tank keeping 3ml/g of calimagick for now to prevent additional spots from showing up. Will probably keep using clips to keep the canopy at this level so I dont have to lower the system.

Auto's still bushing out even more, looks like a bit more defoliation is going to be needed. Might need some support they are starting to lean a tad. Took the lst clips off since the stem was getting thicker, solid 90 degree bend though on the main stem.

dang, auto's appear to be very hungry. tank changed out to 800ppm and overnight we're back to 550. Stretch/transition so it makes sense I'm probably starving them and will need to mix up a fresh tank again. Stem straightened out immediately after removing the clip too but I think we have plenty of bud sites now and just need to thin it out.

"Subcooled Cuttings"

The crisper drawer and a ziploc bag will provide a suitable stasis* chamber for fresh cuttings for up to around 6..7..8 weeks.
(*Stasis= maintaining a constant level...Stable state...dormant)

In order to obtain this sort of longevity in the fridge, the bag containing the dry**, unrooted branches should be opened to breathe at least once a week, better yet, twice a week. Partially puff the bag before sealing with your breath...
Cuttings that are kept in the refrigerator this way actually will root faster than conventional non-refrigerated cuttings once they are removed from the coolness of the refrigerator on up to a point of about 2 or 3 weeks, which at that time they will take proceed to take longer to root and you may even just lose a few.
Important: When they are removed from the refrigerator to be rooted, be sure to recut the stem.

Wondering if this is still viable? I'd like to grab some cuts from each of the photo's but they'll only need 3-4 weeks of veg not 8-10 while they finish. I'd planned to just veg them for a few weeks then take cuts again but putting them in the fridge would save me some work/nutes. Specifically keep the blackened oranges since I don't have additional seeds to restart, I could try reversing it for preservation?
