Stretch-mania, 1 week after flipping and they have damn near doubled in height. I can see 4 definite males, and they would appear to be a week or so from their golden showers. They can double in height, one last time, and then we're into bondage! As usual, the tallest are all males, so I've got that going for me!

I misread 1 plant, oops. I have only 4 males, and they are starting to drop pollen. I think I'll keep the males in the pleasure chamber for 2 more weeks. Man these plants are stretching like mad. I won't let them get over 4 foot tall so there may be some bondage in their future! I'm going to run some of these next summer. I think they'll be animals outdoors!

I've got pollen all over this tent. It will need a deep clean before the next run. I pulled 1 male who was twice as tall, lankey and was not about to drop his pollen. As it was not similar to the others, and it was not on the same timing as the rest, I feel that removing him should keep the offspring more uniform. If the pollen keeps dropping like it is now, I might pull the remaining 3 males on Sunday.

Roz I'm just curious, you have parchment paper or something on the floor and just let them drop to that ?
I simply spread my males evenly around the tent and the circulator fan moves it around. If I were saving pollen, I line a tote bottom with parchment paper, hang the chopped males over the tote, keep it in a dark dry place for week or so. Then gently shake the males while holding them inside the tote. At his point I collect it and add a little rice or a desiccant pack.
After the plants get removed the tent will get a good spray down/ wipe out.

Oh yes, I can do it! But, 2 months later, I'm back to square one! It's amazing how they just take over your world! I went so far as to remove my bean stash from the growing area. That way I'll have to make a special effort to get them out and bring them to my working zone.
,Not sure there is a Guinness book of world records, worlds fastest growing bean collection or biggest collection...Jaws might win biggest..bean heavenly heaven over there 👊 And the preservations is important as hell man.. Appreciate your work brother 💯

I pulled the Sheberghan males this morning and dropped them into a tote lined with parchment paper. So, we now have 8 well-bred ladies making beans! There is a 3x3 next door to the tent these girls are in which is vented directly outside. That is where the pollination happens! Next Sunday, I harvest the non vented tent and move all 8 Sheberghan in it. That will free up the pollen chamber for @Hitch Peak Seeds "Sweet Skunk" preservation. After that comes the Tashkurgan preservation. They are wet right now, I'm just waiting for tails!

2 more weeks and all the Sheberghan plants should be finished. The plants are similar to each other but, there are variations. The first to finish is a short, medium branched, and her beans will all be done 7 weeks from the flip. The next one [I believe] to finish is a bit tighter and her buds are starting to put on a lavender hue. The other 6 will be another 2 weeks. All the beans from this run will be combined before I send them back because variety is part of these strains due to the growing practices in the region. These will be fun to hunt!
