I am acutely interested, because I have shopped and mapped this out in the past.
I like what you have built, and I would like to see it live a long, and azzkicking life.

That fogger is literally a Pizeo tweet.

The hoop could likely be a resistor , within a passive ‘cross over‘
You prolly read about diff. Hertz (Hz) values mentioned in fogger lit. That is how many cycles the disc makes per second. Would also explain the incredible heat production. A stereo speaker is POUNDING @ 48 volts.
I would say the difference in heat accumulation would be specific heat capacity of the material used, and the quantity of the moving mass,,,
In other words - the ceramic discs get hot because they are near-nuclear,monster-ass bitches.

Too deep and they don’t work, too shallow, and they burn up.
That specifically is why I was curious about the pontoon.
The beginning of anything is always exciting. However, with retail, the end sometimes really sucks . Gotta watch your ass , and your hard earned dollars
Ask yourself “how will this fail ?”
To point: say one day that reservoir does not fill.
Then what ?
Is there a clear path of travel, for the raft , to freely follow the waterline to the bottom of the bucket?

I think @Capt. C would tell us not to tie our boat to a rock,, tide comes in - boat goes down.
Allow enough free cord for the raft to travel unobstructed , with enough length readily available for the unit to sit on the bottom of the tank.
The unit has 15' of cord to the PSU, and that unit has another 10' or so. I give it trolling slack, it's not taut, but I don't want it to gravitate towards a corner giving one exhaust pipe too much juice. Other than that it toots along like a little tugboat. I think it should settle to the tote floor if it dries out. The way it looks, the transducer wouldn't touch the tote floor. Also, I believe it only turns on if it senses water (don't quote me on that). Another good thing about this particular brand is that it has no lights like a lot of the other units out there (just more shit to leak/rust/break, also a weak point for light leak stress).

I like fire, but not that kinda fire ? so any safety tips, I AM ALL EARS. I have quite a few amps with a bunch of rushing water in multiple vessels that I've modified with holes, all contained in a huge ghetto wading pool. Top that off with most of the wattage hanging by strings from the poles above. I hate to say it, but it kinda sounds like the makings of the most epic RDWC - Ridiculously Dangerous Wattage & Current.

Had a look.
They address one of my barriers of purchasing: available replacement discs.
The coating upgrade is nifty.

They make out like they built it in their basement. Didn’t hear aboot any domestic production. If it is 2 packages, the power supply is sourced, as well.
Still don’t know about run-dry features.
any safety tips,
Do you like to relax in the tub?
How long is the power-cord, on girl green’s toaster ?

Any thing sourced down-stream of GFI, also has those qualities .
Something like this would run a house.

If you are renting : they are available as plug and play outlets, however ,by the time you buy a few,,,
If you own the place, bite the bullet.
Every plug in the house becomes GFI’d
Anytime you replace, or add an outlet- you can buy the 3 dollar ones, instead of the pricey GFI ones every time.

Not sure what those boxes are worth, gotta be less than a funeral ?

It's our house, it's newer, I will check to see if it's already set up like that, I doubt it though. A lot of the newer homes in this area have 15 amp breakers and they tend to be shared. A vacuum and microwave on the same circuit could trip it.

Email the owner at House of Hydro, his name is John. I emailed him earlier letting him know about us, and how I put up a DIY thread with his fogger units. He is pretty responsive and answers questions with detail. Let him know that you're from pHenohunter.org, saw my thread, and have some questions.

The little "do not touch handle" should be the water sensor. It should shut off if the water level drops below the sensor. Mine were wrapped in something like heat shrink with a hole on the underside for sensing. I have a couple of these I have used for humidification of small terrariums.
I did have to occasionally pull the transducer out and gently clean the sensor with a soft toothbrush to remove hard water deposits.
