The unit has 15' of cord to the PSU, and that unit has another 10' or so. I give it trolling slack, it's not taut, but I don't want it to gravitate towards a corner giving one exhaust pipe too much juice. Other than that it toots along like a little tugboat. I think it should settle to the tote floor if it dries out. The way it looks, the transducer wouldn't touch the tote floor. Also, I believe it only turns on if it senses water (don't quote me on that). Another good thing about this particular brand is that it has no lights like a lot of the other units out there (just more shit to leak/rust/break, also a weak point for light leak stress).I am acutely interested, because I have shopped and mapped this out in the past.

You prolly read about diff. Hertz (Hz) values mentioned in fogger lit. That is how many cycles the disc makes per second. Would also explain the incredible heat production. A stereo speaker is POUNDING @ 48 volts.
I would say the difference in heat accumulation would be specific heat capacity of the material used, and the quantity of the moving mass,,,
In other words - the ceramic discs get hot because they are near-nuclear,monster-ass bitches.
Too deep and they don’t work, too shallow, and they burn up.

Allow enough free cord for the raft to travel unobstructed , with enough length readily available for the unit to sit on the bottom of the tank.
I like fire, but not that kinda fire ? so any safety tips, I AM ALL EARS. I have quite a few amps with a bunch of rushing water in multiple vessels that I've modified with holes, all contained in a huge ghetto wading pool. Top that off with most of the wattage hanging by strings from the poles above. I hate to say it, but it kinda sounds like the makings of the most epic RDWC - Ridiculously Dangerous Wattage & Current.
