Day 1 of 12/12

The cold snap really hit these. It got down to 58 in the root zone, but 72 canopy… so it threw them for a loop. They are recovering well and starting to take off.

What did you notice happening when it hit those temps ? I know the growth itself can be stunted from cold stress, but I don't normally notice much else myself, so I'm curious if I can start learning to look at anything else.

The plants stalled and developed a cal/mag efficiency overnight it seemed. A light cal/mag foiler and allowing g the soil to dry out helped. When the cold snap happened only the bottoms of the root zone were wet, making the cold even more cold. I wrapped the bottoms in paper towels and allowed the paper towels to wick moisture which in the end saved the plants I do believe.

OK I was wondering about that. My climate during flower is .... Let's just say there's entire weeks where my plants won't see a high of 58 let alone the low, but I also have a nute I add to them every week which supports that, and I'm starting to think that is why I don't see the cal mag issues. The stalled, not doing much thing, totally! I see that of course (Michigan Weather and all) but I haven't seen much for cal mag going on. Now you got me wondering about this LOL, I'll have to get a picture of the stuff I use, but usually I can get by pretty well.
