TGA and Norstar pheno hunting.

In Bloom
I recently started growing some "Norstar" hybrids. I gave most away due to my lack of space, what I wanted to do was hunt for specific chemotypes, longer lasting and invigorating effects are what I desire. I've enjoyed every hybrid I have tried of Norstar's, with the "Chelumbian"(Cheese x Colombian gold) hybrids being my favorite. I ordered two packs recently and they came with a free 13 pack of "Panama Boqueté" which I am growing now, I like this hybrid, it smells like sushi and wasabi.

It took years of norstar breeding with his Chelumbian parents(f/m) till he released these f2's. I expect these to be better than the f1 generation, more segregation of phenotypes making it easy to differentiate between Cheese and Colombian.

I've Got a few seeded plants of TGA Subcool's Peacetrain(Purple Mendo haze x Jack The ripper) which was discontinued, and some Querkle(Purple Urkel x Spacequeen) finishing seed production and about to re-enter veg.

I still have to germinate the Alchemy(chem D x Querkle) and specifically my "Qleaner"(Jack's Cleaner x Querkle) seeds as that is supposed to fit my needs perfectly.

I found this Panama Boqueté plant had the strongest smell of pumpernickel rye bread, so i assume it's the Panama phenotype, it was tallest and slowest to mature so i knocked her up proper. 20240929_025358.jpg

Hybrid pheno of peace train, small seeds, light purple coloration near harvest, another 3 weeks left or more to finish.

Querkle "Grape Soda" 🍇, seeded with an f2 "Mango Carrot Soda" male I bred, I think they will go together very well.

Querkle - Coconut Macaroon phenotype, more purple but less frost and more greasey funk!20240929_025324.jpg

I used Ace Seeds -Golden Tiger(Malawi phenotype), to pollenate a plushberry hybrid, some of the f1/f2 offspring have a "soda" flavors.

The Mangu'Karot from French Touch seeds is similar, it's from Zamal(reunion island) which is related distantly to the "Malawi" Mango Carrot phenotype or the "Zamaldelica" Ace Seeds produces with a Zamal selection of their own, using "Golden Tiger".

Golden Tiger boosts the potency of everything I have grown. Its hybrids are phenomenal, Zamaldelica being a great example, it made the Zamal better.

Subbed! (Pun mode off)
Back when TGA was based on Greenpassion I did my first posts with Live Photos and sure miss those days and the Avengers.

Love that Okdschool - keep em coming
Thanks for stopping by 😃
I found out about TGA genetics after researching organic farming on the weed forums/ and stumbled upon the supernsoil recipe from RIU.org Subcool's organics forum. I loved the flavors of the hybrids I've grown, but potency was always hit or miss, I tried to rectify that with this project.

Yeah there was just too many quick fix mixes done with the Space-Dude and all its glory and shit story!

TGA had several excellent Breeders like Dioxide but it was more or less a one man show and one male smash when it came to the success and real Dank! Crazy story behind that Space Dude but I won’t turn this all muddy.

I’m one of the last to join the 77 Club and all TGA were so honorary or not at one point! There’s where Ae77 led like a true leader and if not for him TGA would have never been contrived

Rip subcool. I hope to grow some tga gear or crosses in the future. I vividly remember getting jack thebripper and cheesequake and having a fantastic experience. Following
Very similar situation, I even tried to make f2's of cheesequake but failed do to a extremely pervasive spider mite infestation, they destroyed the cheesequakes. While my own hybrid (Plushberry x Cuvee f2) showed greater resilience to mites, I see it in the offspring outdoors.

This is a green tea bailey's alcoholic drink smelling plant, even has a bit of the recessive purple showing from Cuvee, excellent resistance to pests/PM up until last week where after rain and cold all the dead gnats/bugs molded up and I had to pluck them off before it spread, I'm making fermented brick weed from all of my outdoor flower, less lost to mold in an anaerobic vacuum environment, less degradation of compounds.
