I think I'm liking this Sunshine 4 soil mix.
I used it maybe 20 years ago and just tried it again this round.

I can get it fairly cheap in the 3 cubic ft bales. I might try it out next time I buy soil. The Coco Loco is not for me. I just purchased the ocean forest again for the 7Hills contest and it's full of gnats.
On that the Dr Earth's spray(black bottle) is fixing that in short order.

Yeah Fox Farm has issues as of late for sure.
This Sunshine 4 mix drains "Fast" so really needs vermeculite to help retain some moisture. I also added 15% worm castings to it.

I do like the way you can literally push your hands into it, even when wet. The roots have got to love that.

But now that I'm trying it again I'm second guessing it.
I do like the way you can literally push your hands into it, even when wet. The roots have got to love that.

I have a bale of it what would u add to it if anything? I am gonna give it a go ?

To the bale I added 1.5 cu ft vermeculite and 1 cu ft worm casting.
So almost a 1/3 cut I guess.
The top 2 to 3 inches dries out overnight completely but takes it right back when watered.
And when ya first water it in go slow cause it wets everything going through.
A 1 gallon pot filled holds 40 ozs. of water.

All but the NL cuts are about 37 days in, 2 of my PL are not quite to the net but the 3rd one is filling out very nicely.

I have had my eye on the purple pheno, but the more i thought about it that Todd said it was from one plant made me shy away.
Perhaps I'll run across one in my hunt of these.

I had another quart of reduced tincture winterizing in the freezor for 6 weeks.
Now it's ready to serve, whoa what a head change!!
