🔥Freak Genetics🔥
This has been a rough year growing, I am still learning by f..ing up. Several plants decided to be bisexual, maybe environmental or the flip into 100 w cobs, or genetics. Several times the plants just didn't finish, nutrient and soil issues, so I started over with new soil BAS 3.0 in June. I have had issues with bud rot for a couple of years, again with the damn environment and damn big buds.

But this one has me stumped, I usually use feminized seeds due to small plant count, but this year I planted 12 regular seeds. The last one Blueberry Mitten's by Freak Genetic's was a male and out of the previous 11 regular seeds only one was a female.

12 regular seeds, 1 female (didn't finish), 11 male plants. Zero for twelve??? WTF.

My past experience with regular seeds has been close to 70 percent female.

Any suggestions, or just like the rest of the year, f.... Up
Dang sorry to hear those numbers . Luck can be brutal sometimes. But you are def due now next 12 , Hope you get a bunch of pretty gals.

When planting regular seeds it's just a fact you have just a good chance to get a male as you do a female...50/50 every seed...Luck falls where it may...I couldn't tell you how many times I've been disappointed for not seeing MALES..I rarely buy fems...I wanna sift thru as many males as possible...And I just personally feel better chucking from regular seeds...Only suggestion that comes to mind and really the only solution is to run Fem seeds to assure your female stock ...Best of luck my friend!

Damn, where the hell you at? I've got 'em a few miles away. While we're in a rural area of North San Diego County we're surrounded by homes to the South and West, a regular city intersection a block North (Vons, Wendy's, 7-11 strip of shops) so they won't come into our area. We do have bunny's and hawks but the bunnies are too small for a meal and the hawks are too stringy?

Seriously awesome?

Last house in a small canyon just above the 91 and 71 junction, Cleveland national forest up above. The canyon is a small wildlife refuge based on my observations, sightings over the years:

Mountain lion, bobcat, large red fox, smaller Grey foxes, skunk, raccoons, squirrels, gophers, rats and mice. The birds, I dabble with birding, I have counted over 40 species while viewing from backyard, and just last week two bald eagle's flew over my house. Right between OC and inland empire.

Forgot to mention the deer, stressed due to lack of water, some were coming down to drink from broken irrigation, so I put a three gallon bucket of water next to yard. Five deer, two old ladies and three yearlings came and drank 2.5 gallons out of the bucket, and did that about six times.. We finally got a little rain so they have only been sighted on the hill.

I know the area well having spent 30 years in OC. We use to be able to hunt in Corona back in the day and I've eaten my share of quail?

In high school my girlfriend had an aunt and uncle who owned a horse ranch in Corona and we'd drive out on weekends and ride. Awesome memories?
