Ya make that and get ready best way to trip balls just don’t take as much boomers as you normally do cause it hits hardI only heard of it from the guys here. lol There is some science behind how the lemon juice converts the psilocybin to psilocin prior to consumption. Here ya go, it’s simple. View attachment 94954
Did you let the tubs colonize for 7-10 days? How’s your humidity? Misting and fanning multiple times per day?Still waiting on fruits. The mycelium is still covering surface of coco. I must have something out of sync, I'm thinking I wasn't misting enough. But each day more solid mycelium and less of the fluffy stuff. I'll snap pics tonight.
3 out of the 4 bags I inoculated on 11/13 are solid mycelium. They feel much better than the first 2 bags did at this same time.
Both stargazers from 11/13 are colonized but only 1 golden teachers. I just cut the other bag open to see and just was just rice. No mold or anything so must have not been many spores in that squirt of the syringe.
I probably can transfer these other 3 bags next week.
Ok i thought that might be cobweb mold. Not sure what to do about it though. Should I manually remove it?Few days to a week after you see pins. Btw mycelium is bright white. It's seems you may have some cobweb mold going on, and also those dark spot in the sub would drive me nuts. That could be contamination also. Being that it's black I wouldn't want those spores too spread
If it is cobweb, 3% H2O2 sprayed over should melt it in front of your eyes, just don't overspray.Ok i thought that might be cobweb mold. Not sure what to do about it though. Should I manually remove it?
I'll have to find a different spot to fruit the next batches. I'm guessing the wardrobe in the grow room isn't good due to too much air movement.
Edit: ill check tonight when light comes on but the stuff that looks grey in pic doesn't look grey in person. I remember tripping on pic last night but i was not for sure if the white fluffy stuff was mycelium. Ill double check tonight.
I'll check the dark spots tonight

You’ll be tripping by Friday man. You might have to make some blue juice with them freshiesMan these golden teachers are kicking ass. 2x the mass as the stargazers. Probably be picking them tomorrow im guessing?

A little late, but here’s my lessons with UB tek- (I’ve done prob 20 bags over the last several months with various varieties, all from MSS.Just inoculated 4 more bags of Ben's.
2 x stargazer
2 x golden teachers
Did things a little different. Mainly just put GE holes up higher on the bags and injected middle of rice bag vs the bottom.
Be nice to harvest enough shrooms to send some to my friends out east. Be a cool surprise Christmas gift ? ✨
I did UB just cuz it was cheap and low maintenance. I could cut down contaminates by pressure cooking substrate and using an SAB. But for $2 a bag and $10 for mss and few bucks in coco its worth it.A little late, but here’s my lessons with UB tek- (I’ve done prob 20 bags over the last several months with various varieties, all from MSS.
- contam risk is high, as you stated
- you only need prob .5-1 ml of MSS. Using more makes the bag too wet.
- UB has more moisture than off-brands, ie. aldi’s
- push any renegade rice down away from the top before injecting or inoculation. Most contam spots will either be on the bottom because wetness or too because of vent/GE/inoc
-likewise you will need to break up the rice to push it down, but be sure to make it compact
- if it takes too long to colonize, you have a 100% chance of contam making inoculation temp and environment very important
- chip clip the bag in half when cutting vents/GE (hole punch is a good way to add GE)

I just inoculated 5 bags tonight. Even though the contam rate is high, my impatience is satisfied by being able to start something while I’m soaking, PC’ing, sterilizing, prepping my other bulk grain.
Ive been disappointed by my yields with UB tek, but considering the amount of grain in each UB bag, it’s prob relatively appropriate to have smalller yields, when successful.
