Strain: Hyper Dragon f1 x God O War f1

Hyper Dragon was a wildly funky mutant. It was beautifully ugly. I wanted to throw some pollen on it for shits and giggles before I let it go forever. Its flower structure could use a little more density and its overall structure could be improved upon. However, it had a very stout central stalk and a gorgeously wild fade. The HD smelled of Tropical, Citrus, Skunk, and Pine producing a mellowing, happy effect. GOW’s bouquet has been Sweet, Lemon, Pine, Mint, Bubblegum, and Fuel, while producing a Heady, Relaxed Body, and Euphoric effect. The majority of GOW f1 phenotypes have been a very well-balanced hybrid. I’m interested in experiencing the effects from these two after being combined.

Mother: Hyper Dragon (Dragon Berry x Hyper Glue) was a mutant I let grow. It grew so wildly funky that I wanted to try and see if it created some wild and crazy looking offspring. She had so many oddities I figured I had to dip my toe in the pool. Not to mention she also had a very pleasing effect.

Father: God O War is a project I’m currently working on. (Ghost Train Haze #1 x 9lb. Hammer) I used the pollen from my second selection, f1 male. (I already culled my first selection by mistake.)

Purpose: These seeds weren’t a planned project. They were created from a personal side chuck spawned by my own curiosity at the time. I wanted to learn more about the GOW male and observe what possible traits he pushes forward. I chose a few ladies in the room, Hyper Dragon being one of them. Regarding the Hyper Dragon, I wanted to see if I could make some wildly ugly plants, with visibly distinctive traits that produced a very nice smoke.

Day 36 from seed
D36HDGOW.jpeg

Only four seeds were planted because these seeds are the most limited. #1 is a mutant. #2 has a very nice structure on a miniature frame, and #3 and #4 sport the HD flat top. This is a very interesting group.

Strain: BCK Phylex Cut x God O War f1

Both parents carried nice overall structure and good vigor between them. BCK checks a lot of boxes for me. I’ve always liked dusting her with different pollen. She smells of effervescent, aloe lotion with a slight cheese and has a sativa leaning, old school effect.

Mother: BCK Phylex Cut is presumably Birthday Cake Kush though unconfirmed. This particular girl grows exceptionally well, has sturdy, uniform structure, consistent yielder, easy to clone, etc. She’s an exceptional smoke.

I chose a few ladies in the room, BCK being one of them.

Day 36 from seed

All are relatively average in height with a few shorty’s. It’s surprising there aren’t any tall phenotypes in this bunch considering GOW is in the genetic map. Maybe the shorter male GOW that was used is helping to quell a lot of its desire to reach. #1 is the mutant, ‘Lady Fingers,’ and had a few internodes where she grew two branches. She’s since started alternating internodes like a clone and her upper, lateral growth has slowed. I have my eye on #2 and another mini pineapple in #6. But who knows what the final outcome could be until harvest and a good smoke report.

Strain: Moon Dragon f1 (Hyper Dragon f1 x Moontang Mystery f1)

Hyper Dragon was a wildly funky mutant. It was beautifully ugly. I wanted to throw some pollen on it for shits and giggles before I let it go forever. Its flower structure could use a little more density and its overall structure could be improved upon. However, it had a very stout central stalk and a gorgeously wild fade. The HD smelled of Tropical, Citrus, Skunk, and Pine producing a mellowing, happy effect. MM smells of sour, herbal, sweet, and skunky. It’s another producer of a smooth, relaxing, happy effect.

Mother: Hyper Dragon (Dragon Berry x Hyper Glue) was a mutant I let grow. It was so wildly funky that I wanted to try and see if it created some wild and crazy looking offspring. She had so many oddities I figured I had to dip my toe in the pool. Not to mention she also had a very pleasing effect.

Father: Moontang Mystery is the result of an accidental open pollination. The seeds were gifted to me by a fellow grower on IG. It’s unclear if the male donor was a Terpenado Male or (Goji OG x Sunshine Daydream) Male. Both males released pollen before they were pulled out of the tent.

Purpose: These seeds weren’t a planned project. They were created from a personal side chuck spawned by my own curiosity at the time. I wanted to see if I could make some wildly ugly plants, with visibly distinctive traits, that produced a nice, mellowing, relaxing smoke.

Day 36 from seed
D36MD.jpeg

I planted 6 seeds and only ended up with 5 plants. I got a little too handsy with #6 and broke its tap root. #1 has my eye along with the pineapple shaped #3. #2 is the runt and I’d probably keep looking past #4 and #5 at this juncture. But who knows, anything can change at harvest.

Strain: Terpenado Mystery f1 x God O War f1

Both parents had nice overall structure with good vigor between them. Both flowered dense and resinous flowers. The TM smelled of Peanut Shell with a slight citrus and produced a mellowing, happy effect.

Day 36 from seed
D36TERPGOW.jpeg

I started with six and I culled two of them. (not pictured #5 and #6) They struggled from the start and I gave up on them. #2 was recently topped and the rest have been stripped of their ugly leaves from the week 2 pH snafu. Considering GOW has a tendency to run tall, I’d be trying to target the smaller/average sized phenotypes that contain its influence. Because of that, I have my eye on #1 and #3. #1 has clean, evenly open internodal spacing with a manageable height. #3 is short and lush. I’m curious to see how they both react during stretch. I plan to keep #2 and #4 through flower if they’re female. I might as well see what the taller phenotypes look like. But if they’re males or if space begins to get too tight, they might be up for elimination.

Good Morning. I selected one additional #3 Darshan today to top and strip. I wanted to see if either or had a preference to being topped. It was almost identical in structure to the other two #3’s

Don’t mind my droopy gals, I tend to take these pics right at lights on.

The newly topped #3 next to my choice #3

I appreciate the interest @Capt's Farm . I did send a very limited, one or two packs out from each of these personal side chucks. I was seeking some additional help with testing. @JL2G started Moon Dragon and is credited with aptly naming those. The others were never grown or tested to my knowledge. It's been so long now, I don't recall who has any of these testers. It might be possible to find some if you can find the folks here that have them.

Hyper Dragon x God O War seeds were so limited, I believe none of those were ever sent out for testing.

I don't plan on sending out anymore of these seeds from my personal side chucks. They weren't a planned project but rather something that piqued my interest. I'm using this time now to explore these seeds and share the experience. That is all. Whatever seed stock I have left of these, I plan to keep locked up in the vault in the event I want to work any of them in the future. I need their seed stock on hand so they can be afforded a proper hunt if I choose to do so. This current grow affords me a small glimpse into those genetics, and may help decide if something is worth looking into in the future. At this point, I don't plan on working any of these to a point of release. I have more important projects I'm working on and it could be a very long time before I'm afforded an opportunity to work with any of these.

Love the way u do this man ! Very cool . Be Poppin my gows soon?

Thank you @Frimpong . I look forward to seeing GOW in your garden when the time comes.

It appears everyone is showing nice, healthy stalks, and good vigor so far. These f1's seem to be remaining fairly consistent.

I think I like it here. Shit I might even just pull up a chair if that’s ok with you @Phylex

citrol sledge #1 took extremely well to her topping and had made a full recovery. I will let her go another week to ten days before she goes into flower. image.jpg image.jpg

"Darkstar" is Th ?

That's correct.

I was chatting with the N'orEasters about Charstar the other day. Chung creamed her calyx and Affie bust'a bract !

With the possibilities of Charastar, I can certainly understand why. lol I'll shoot you a PM shortly.

I think I like it here. Shit I might even just pull up a chair if that’s ok with you @Phylex

You're always welcome here my friend.

Meet the God O War Ladies of Darshan

Since I’ve explained the story behind Darshan, I figured it was time to introduce the ladies that were pollinated with my NH male.

God O War #3 used in Darshan #3
B56GOW3.1.jpeg

As stated in a previous post, she was the front running selection moving into Round 2. #4, and #8 were my other top candidates. I wanted to run them a couple more times before a final decision was made. I also wanted to be afforded time to continue looking through more females to ensure I was choosing the correct representation of what I’m looking for. They all carried a lot of similar traits, however #3 had a semi-gloss sheen across her leaves that was not observed amongst any of the other phenotypes. This has led me to believe that she may possess some natural defenses against the likes of pests and or molds. This is merely a theory and it has not been tested. She presents traits from both parents and visually appears to have more of a 9lb. Hammer influence. However, her effect is very well balanced.

God O War #4 used in Darshan #4
B56GOW4.2.jpeg
God O War #4 was one of my top three f1 female candidates. She was a gorgeous girl. I was going to afford her a couple more test rounds to try and unseat #3. Like #3 and #8, she expressed traits from both parents with what appeared to be more 9lb. Hammer influence. However, her effect is also very well balanced.

God O War #7 used in Darshan #7
B46GOW7.2.JPG

God O War #7 wasn’t going to make it passed the second round of testing. It definitely seemed more Sativa leaning regarding effect, but nothing of note really jumped out to me. I just wasn’t overly impressed considering I had so many other potential candidates up for selection. It’s not to say GOW #7 couldn’t pair well with the NH male and produce some very unique qualities. It very well could prove to be a nice pairing. I however wouldn’t be looking there first considering my vison for God O War was not found in phenotype #7.

God O War #8 used in Darshan #8
B56GOW8.1.jpeg

God O War #8 was one of my top three f1 female candidates. She was a gorgeous girl very similar to #4. I was going to afford her a couple more test rounds to try and unseat #3. Like #3 and #4, she expressed traits from both parents with what appeared to be more 9lb. Hammer influence. However, her effect is also very well balanced.

God O War #9 used in Darshan #9
B46GOW9.2.JPG
God O War #9, like #7, wasn’t going to make it passed the second round of testing. It definitely seemed more Sativa leaning regarding effect, but nothing of note really jumped out to me. I just wasn’t overly impressed considering I had so many other potential candidates up for selection. It’s not to say GOW #9 couldn’t pair well with the NH male and produce some unique qualities. It very well could prove to be a nice pairing. I however wouldn’t be looking there first considering my vison for God O War was not found in phenotype #9.

God O War #10 used to make Darshan #10
B46GOW10.1.JPG
God O War #10 produced more of a Sativa leaning effect. While it wasn’t necessarily what I was looking for in regards to God O War, one distinct observation was its yield. It was one of the heaviest yielders amongst the test subjects. It could potentially be used if looking to improve yield, or if wanting to move in a direction of a Sativa leaning phenotype. Though #10 wasn’t going to make the cut for my God O War f1 selection, it could still hold some value in regards to its yielding characteristics. It could also potentially pair exceptionally well with another Sativa. There’s definitely some good potential with this being paired to the NH male.

God O War #11 used to make Darshan #11
B46GOW11.4.JPG

God O War #11 produced more of a Sativa leaning effect. While it wasn’t necessarily what I was looking for in regards to God O War, one distinct observation was its yield. Just the same as #10. However #11 was visibly the heaviest yielder of the two and the heaviest yielder amongst the test subjects. It could potentially be used if looking to improve yield, or if wanting to move in a direction of a Sativa leaning phenotype. Though #11 wasn’t going to make the cut for my God O War f1 selection, it could still hold some value in regards to its yielding characteristics. It could also potentially pair exceptionally well with another Sativa. There’s definitely some good potential with this being paired to the NH male.

I think this picture is a good example of the vigor being exhibited by a couple of my Darshans. These plants are all the same age. 1599525070995.png
PS: those cute lil guys still in cups are the 9lb BB’s. I think I might try and flower that one in the center there.

Veg is mid week 5 from soak. I decided to move some into 1 gallon pots. This is just an exploratory run to have a little sneak peek into these personal side chucks. I wasn’t planning to take clones, nor am I planning to explore these any further for quite some time if at all. (Results Dependent) If something does absolutely blow me away, I may move it up and dedicate a proper hunt some time next year just as long as it wouldn’t take away from the projects I’m working on. With that said, I decided to take clones of everything “just in case.” If there’s something I really like, I’ll throw it into the library and pull it out from time to time for personal smoke. All the other clones will get culled ASAP.
