You even have to be super safe keeping to yourself. In 2016 before we got home invaded, robbed and then kidnapped by the police we had a really nice harvest. We kept to ourselves but I made 2 mistakes. I had the window fan on exhaust when we were smoking not knowing a cop was in his car right outside our window talking to a neighbor. We live right next to the alley . Being the dick that he is he started watching us, and before garbage pickup they took our trash and searched it. It was right on the alley so city property. There were stems, a baggie and an empty bag of promix in it. They ran a dog around our house at night, the dog hit of course and the judge signed the warrant. Talk about complete bad luck. I had just got off probation for growing at the end of 2014 and they got my ass again. Charged me with 21 plants+ possession-30-500g with intent to deliver. 16 root balls and 5 seedlings. Almost got 10 years in the slammy hole but my PD got it down to 5 years drug probation. I took the entire rap but they still charged and convicted my wife on some really petty shit that's just out of reach for expungement. They took her car too. Sorry for the long story. Illinois sucked, it still sucks just a little less since legalization.

I used to save all discarded plant material and use it for mower feed.

Yes the law's suck azz here, but it's getting ready to change...
I moved from California and didn't check the law's
CBD is sold openly and is legal now.
Hemp is legal to grow and is everywhere


Not sure where you're looking but don't give up on tn just cause of that.
You can live very well out here on a set income...

Honestly if you're going to grow inside and it's just a few plants I would Not Even Worry about it...
Hell if you wanted to, you could even get a hemp license to grow for a few hundred dollars and just grow you're stuff under that and get away with it.

Here's the thing Tn is growing fast and the price of land homes and etc is going up fast. So just keep that in mind.
It's still cheaper than ca.....

The biggest problem here is it rains alot.

I know its in the past but a public defense lawyer will screw you everytime. If you would have got a private hired attorney you probably wouldn't even have done time.

I've know several people popped for growing. 1 of them had hundreds of plants, pounds and thousands in cash. Hired a expensive ass lawyer and got completely set free, all charges dropped due to technicalities. 1 of the others had just a few immature plants and a little bud but used PD and got a couple year sentence.

Total bullshit but if you don't pay out the ass for a lawyer the system purposely fucks you. Sorry to hear they got you man.

We couldn't barely afford to eat after they busted us. Getting a paid lawyer was thought of, mostly dreamed of. I even wrote NORML trying to get legal help and they never even contacted me back. CPS tried taking our kids away. It was a really shitty time man.

For sure man, I hate to hear good folks getting screwed over bud. Seems so fucked up that alcohol is legal but they'll fuck your whole life up over weed. Smh

I know right! What really blew my mind was after legalization here in 2020, my p.o. told me it was cool for me to get my med card and grow my own. They stopped drug testing me and everything. She never even came to inspect anything. The change from 2019-2020 was just crazy. Cops could care less about anything cannabis related in my town now.
