Under canopy LED’s

I'd like to now what would happen with a plant that only has under canopy lighting? I know the underside of the leaves do photosynthesize but not as efficiently as the top side. Would it flower and have very airy buds? Would it Hermie up? would it have normal buds?

Would it stretch or grow to the light?

After thinking hard on what I wanna do and budgets ,okay I ordered another 8x under canopy by mammoth + stands + 3ft extension cord. This gives me total 18x UC led’s and able to all lines.

Price compares
the vivisun are 108 ( 100 watts, stands suck, no power daisy chainable , 110v) each.
16 GML UC with stands and cord WOULD BE $5,592.00 USD… JESUS
Craft or FAVEN would be 4,000-5,000 for 16x UC … yeah

I paid 1,800 for 16 UC with cords/stands + the 2x vivisun. at 999 for 8x mammoth + stands it made it roughly 130 a unit/led. For quality of led and driver qc vs rest it def seemed like best choice for me .

I wonder if under canopy leds will help with the lowers going intersex on my plants during transition. It seems the bigger the leaves the more it happens. They create zero ppfd zones down there. Worth it or just pick off the sacs?

@BH will leaves react the same way by taco-ing if they receive too much light from the bottom?

i've got a handful of t5's out in the garage that I might try to use a few for the next grow as under canopy

Dude, under canopy lights are 100 to 130 watts max over a 4ft fixture, that are waterproof, so there is a protective dome (lens) over the diodes, which depending on brand sits 1/2 inch to 1 inch above diodes, not that you would want to , but the buds can touch the lights with little burn or bleaching . Generally they are placed 6 to 12 inches below bottom of the lower canopy, so nothing should come close to touching them anyway, if something is touching, it's because plants aren't supported properly.

Im asking for some for my birthday. I need this bad for under the canopy in the big room All of this info has me sold. Now I just have to figure out what I need for a 5x7 area. I can fit 10 plants in there max, maybe a couple more with supplemental overheads for the dim area on the left side, I have 2 old 100w quantum boards for that. I do have to figure in room for the under canopy fixtures depending on what I get. I'm hoping to have it all in place by flower next run.

You would need 6 to 7 bars for 5 x 7

I'm just saying, don't expect anything but better quality lowers and lower mid canopy buds, and much better color consistency top to bottom, if ya don't do this for a income , save your money , if ya do you can get a better price for whole plant, no larf. Your adding 720 to 800 watts per 4x8 or 23 watts per sq. Ft. If space is available you would get much better yield with 720 watts applied to overhead lighting in a different room or tent, than that wattage being used on undercanopy, also it's very important to keep your total canopy, whichever you feel best for your top lighting between 24 to 32 inches , netting along with lolipoping bottoms is the only way to control that canopy too to bottom height control. Just a few thoughts for ya, before ya decide you want. I do this for a living so I treat it as a biz, I know exactly what everything cost me to a penny. All the claims of better yield is a gimmick, of course your going to get 30 percent more your adding 50 percent more lighting, watts and cost, plus the initial investment. So many medium scale and large scale grow ops are clueless to math, and what real costs are, that's why they are dropping like flies, margins are so tight, every dollar matters.
