US set to move to reclassify marijuana

I grew up with mates on both sides of law and could see the angle from both sides, so i learnt to look at angles all the time, angles, rorts, etc. Spot them a mile off.

The angle im looking at......what is important about november in the states that they thought about delaying by a month? A measly month?
I would imagine if they were so hellbwnt it wouldve already passed and on the other side if it had no chance it would be given the boot.
So i go back to my previous question, what is happening in the US in thst month they planned to ban it, that requires a shirt stay of execution?
im calling shenanigans lol

Its not a seed ban, it's a ban targeting gummies and gas station weed. Seed ban is a nickname people took and ran with.
We're almost all in legal states. Feds don't care about home growers.

And there is an official policy that the Feds have allowed states to enforce and set their own marijuana laws. Unless that policy changes then state law is what matters.

Feds don't care about cannabis enforcement at all anymore, not just home growers, I hope thca weed and it's derivatives become permanently illegal. No more online 500lb pounds. The farm bill extension for a month has nothing to do with cannabis, it just funds a extension on the extension for the larger bill, which the original 2018 farm bill cannabis falls under. There isn't a new farm bill approved yet, just extensions signed almost a year ago to fund food stamps, farm subsidies, etc. which fall under the USDA. The whole cannabis thing is almost last on the priorities for the final new bill to be passed. The bill like everything in Washington,is about money, funding for farmers and food stamp programs etc. The reason the cannabis part of it gets attention is because it's cannabis. There are dedicated groups for and against cannabis referendums made to the cannabis part of the 2018 bill extension. But believe me if you think cannabis is a priority on the hill and the farm bill your sadly mistaken.

Learn to read, it’s no what if’s lol

Section 781 of Public Law 119-37 changes the federal definition of hemp and specifically excludes “any viable seeds from a Cannabis sativa L. plant that exceeds” 0.3% total THC (including THCA).

So a viable seed from a normal high-THC cannabis plant is not considered hemp under the new federal definition. The law isn’t merely about gummies or gas-station products; seeds are explicitly addressed in the statute.

And this is the important distinction:
It doesn’t say the seed itself has to contain THC. It says the seed is excluded if the plant it came from exceeds the THC threshold.

The provision takes effect November 12, 2026, unless Congress changes it before then.

Yes and there will be a federal seed police, just coming for you 🤣

wow
That’s not really the point 😂. I’m not saying seed banks are going to be raided tomorrow. Im saying its easy like right now on the shopify or many platforms to seize ur money based on current policy and it does daily. Shoot almost every single clone seller to bank i see gets their cc seized to have to change or no cc option

I’m saying businesses that sell viable seeds are the obvious enforcement target once the provision takes effect, because the new federal definition specifically excludes viable seeds from a Cannabis sativa L. plant exceeding 0.3% total THC. That directly affects the legal basis for selling those seeds as “hemp.”

And the fact that seed banks have operated under the current rules without being shut down doesn’t prove the new law won’t change their position. The provision isn’t fully effective yet — that’s precisely why current seed-bank activity doesn’t disprove what the new law does.

The actual language is in Public Law 119-37, §781, which takes effect November 12, 2026. (en.wikipedia.org)

all it will take is to buy 1 pack of seeds from the 5 largest US seed banks, grow them out and test and then arrest the owners. not as far fetched

Seed banks will decide whether to stay in biz if anything does go into effect, feds won't be arresting anyone, maybe local authorities in states, closing illegal grow shops ,but seed banks, highly unlikely.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, the government controls the weather, killed jfk, and planned the 9/11 attacks. Christ get a grip on reality

That’s actually my point. 😂 I’m not saying the feds are going door-to-door arresting people over seeds.

The concern is the businesses supplying them. Once the new definition takes effect, viable seeds from plants exceeding the federal THC threshold are explicitly excluded from “hemp.” That can put seed banks , seed producers that sell to banks and def the seedbanks itself

and clone sellers in a very different legal position — including potential seizure/forfeiture of inventory or business proceeds if the government treats the activity as federally unlawful. Look how any tree or live plant if mailed has to be virus and disease tested and def can be an offense if shipped unproven commericallly .

So “they probably won’t arrest anybody” doesn’t really answer the concern. Federal enforcement doesn’t have to look like raids and jail to hurt a business. Cutting off banking, payment processing, inventory, or seizing assets can accomplish plenty.

And the seed language is not speculation — it is literally in P.L. 119-37 §781. (govinfo.gov)

Farm bill is politics, so let's just ban any future discussion of it, if we're following rules. Seriously
