Here's a song that was a huge hit in South-Africa in the 80's, even though the government banned the song from being played on the radio. This was before Nelson Mandela became president and we were still living in appartheid, strange times. Now they play it at sporting events. It's a very clever song with a great hook and some cool African beats.

Dude that video is so well done but also the words are so true. Every adult on this earth should have to get baked as fuck and watch that. Maybe a few would stfu and be a little more nicer in mindset

Repeated viewing of this Chris Rea video has led me to this point of blissful frustration. I've done all the searches I know of to find the model with no luck and no clues. I feel that she's a candidate to be memorialized as a Brisco Babe, unless her name turns out something unworkable as is the case with Ms Van Valkenburg, and her screen character Mercy [no last name]
So if any of you high tech indies can track down the name and some info of her, it's worth a free pack of whatever seeds get named for her. Much thanks.
The mystery lady of On The Beach.
I did a search for the director of the video, and then did an image search for Tony Van den Ende....which resulted in an association with Kim Wilde back in the 80's.
Any possibility?

No mention of video modeling in her Wiki page, and I'd say with a prejudiced eye that there's little resemblance. She's aged well.

I've seen that reference there and at Wiki, but neither mention her appearing in the video, which would be a certain inclusion you'd think. There are next to no pics I could find of her, and those look little like the video girl, but yours does resemble her somewhat. Good work. But until the mystery is solved, she's in the "I guess it could be file. Those shots at 4:44 and 5:14 are definitely inspirations aplenty.
