are these the autos? That one on the left has a really desirable structure, I love it! nice and even spacing, plenty of room to fill in but not too gappy, really good stuff ya got going there!
Thanks friend! Yes,those are the autos! Been fairly smooth sailing so far with them. Got me considering keeping at least 1 auto going constantly ?. I'll defiantly keep the thread updated and let you all know what they yield! They're both in fabric 5 gallons.are these the autos? The taller one is getting Dr Earth dry amendments. 5tbsp veg, 2tbsp all purpose, and 3tbsp flower girl. Topdress every 3-4 weeks(twice so far). The other is in Nature's Living Soil Autoflower amendment which is added at the beginning and supposed to be water only for the rest of the grow. Been giving then both Real growers recharge every 7-10 days.Flowers are looking very healthy and very happy! Keep it up!
What nutes are you using in bloom right now??
What are you using to calibrate the pH pens? Also, what kind of pen did you purchase? I'd just get a pH test strip kit from your local wally world/home improvement/garden center or pool store etc just to get a ballpark if you believe all of your pens are incorrect. It looks like you have a nutrient lockout by the yellowing from top to bottom. I'd guess that you are on the right path by getting the pH corrected. From what I've read that you are feeding, there should be no issues with pale/yellowing plants with the amount of dry N you feed.Day 49 - Monday - 10/19/2020 - 11:45pm
Earthboxes are in trouble... Ph Meter arrived and was not working properly when i attempted to calibrate it. Startedrefund process same night and received replacement today and had the same issue. Using the ph test drops, i believe the res of the earthboxes is between 6.8 and 7.2. I am going to drain all the water from the res and add water with em1 that i believe is ph'd at 6 even using the drops as a guide until i can get something that is functioning properly to verify the ph accurately. I do not know if i should leave them be at that or attempt to top dress them to fix the deficit(s). Thinking about trying out and if it doesn't turn around by end of the month scratching the 2 of them and starting over.it's really a shame because they looked promising.(pics below)
The other 6 photos that i started with them are doing well in their once gallons on the closet chilling for the moment. The most vigorous appears to be @HydroRed 's Sin-n-Juice, followed by @Amos Otis double banana dub in a close 2nd. Autos are at day 69 and finishing up nicely, Nurple is looking quite promising and is starting to frost up. Trichomes on both are almost all cloudy,i would say about 90%at the least. Pistils are at about the same percentage orange/brown to white. Noticed what i thought was a little "bleaching" on the taller branches of the"purple flower pheno".
Tough lesson learned with the earthboxes though ? ? ?crazy how quickly things go from good to bad, to worse, to almost wanted to give up...but got a bunch of ? ? ?to bounce back with!!! pray for us...will update with pics of Sin-n-Juice and Double ? Dub when the wife and them get up!
I was using the buffer solution packets that come with the pen. I also have an extra box of them. I have attempted to better diagnose the ailments, and through a little research and testing found more than just ph as an issue...will explain in upcoming update...What are you using to calibrate the pH pens? Think i found my problem(s)...will explain in my update...Bro go down to the pool store or something and get some fucking PH indicator and maybe even some test strips.. Pull a water sample and get a chemical read out on what your PH is..
I hate those fuckin pens with a passion from the cheap ass 7$ ebay/amazon ones to the fuckin bluelab specials that ran 60$ IT WAS A POS !
There all POS! lol
Chemicals are never wrong.. ph pens are.
Hope they are okDay 50 -Tuesday - 10/20/2020 3pm
Good news and bad news...I've got the ph of the earthboxes' res to register between 6.5 and 7 by draining it and adding h20 with em1 that was ph adjusted after its addition to between 6.5 and 7 using lemon juice and baking soda. As @HydroRed suggested the plants were not getting any nutrients. I believed this was due to ph and since it began last Monday i watched the steady, and painfully depressing decline in their appearanceand health as I waited on supplies and attempted to correct the ph of the res. After emptying and refilling the red with properly ph'd h20&em1, i tested the soil of each by lightly moving the compost aside trying not to destroy any roots that were near. I removed enough soil too fill the 8 robes for the soil test(4 tubes for each earthbox),added water and the powder for each test to the tubes, capped em and then shook em. The results showed that there was almost no nutrients in either box(pics below)...idk wtf happened...it isn't nutrient lockout because there's no nutrients ?. I didn't topdress with compost and kashi last week because i wanted to correct the ph issue. Never thought the soil not having nutrients could be the issue because they we're put in the Coast of Maine stonnington Mix that is supposed to be water only. In any event i top dressed with compost and grokashi and 3 total tablespoons of Dr Earth, 1.5 veg, .75 all purpose, .75 flower girl underneath the new layer of compost.
I trimmed down the closet crew today(pics below, Sin-n-Juice is in the middlele of back row ?) and finally topped number 6(front left). Going to start training em and move em into the tent when i take out the 2 autos in a few days. They're on day 69 from breaking ground and 72 from being popped into the water.
Speaking of autos...saw and entered a contest somewhere for an "Auto Wellie Grow" and then an auto solo cup grow, so I'll be posting some pics of that and updating on it as well. I'm popping night owls head Cheeze and foot Cheeze for the solo cup and 2 of mandalorian's the forge f2 for the Wellie. Trimmed my firstsmall plant i cut down from my first harvest(only 25g but I'll take it). Smells like lemon and pine. Hope all is well with everyone!!! Pray for my sick ladies ?✌?✌?✌??✊?

Me too, but if not I'll start em over this summer...i have 1 more cherry chem and a few of the black zafiro...they we're looking pretty good till last MondayHope they are ok
Looks dope! Thanks for the suggestion! Definitely gonna invest in one, like the fact that it tests soil and liquids! However,i am feeling like it's a losing battle for these 2 this time around ?. Still not quite sure what i did(didn't do) to bring it about, but everything happens for a reason, and I've still got 8 healthy vegging plants and 2 autos that ate finishing up Saturday. Not to mention the milestone of my first harvest!!!Only pH pen I'll use
Bluelab Soil PH Pen
A handy solution made easy! The Bluelab Soil pH Pen provides a pH and temperature reading of soils and media, so you know that the right nutrients will be made available to your plants. In soils or growing media, pH strongly influences the availability of the microorganisms to plants in the...midwestgrowco.com
Otherwise litmus paper or the drops. Every time I've cheaped out on a pH been I regretted it and just went back to the litmus strips
Anyways, hope you get everything straightened out! Those autos are look chunky man!
Edit: site is killing my amazon link so here's the pH pen somewhere else
No,no softeners. I don't have a clue what's going on...Do you have a water softner for your house water? That can cause nute lockout pretty quick with too many salts. I’d also only recommend blulab pens.
