In Bloom
OK here I'll try to keep track of all my breeding projects and what I am growing at the moment.
From time to time I get thrips issues. I only use predator bugs to fight them. Not into chemical sprays at all. So if you see any thrip damage on my plants no real need to let me know.
I grow in a mix of 50% Peat, 30% Coca, and 20% Perlite. Peat alone held too much water and Coca with perlite added made it dry out too fast. So I go for a mix of all 3.
For nutrients I just ordered Strive and will start using that in about a week from today. 2 part all natural system nothing else to add. (K.I.S.S.)
Lighting LED full spectrum mix of warm and cool with UV, IR and reds.
Grow tents 2 (5x5) and 2 (4x2). 1 Extra room for the males far away from the girls.
If any of you are growing out anything I put together feel free to post your results here too.
I am 56 years old. I enjoy the old classic strains but some of them just don't measure up flavor or THC wise for my tastes. I'm always looking for something fresh and new to keep my interests growing. Mixing old and new is fun too. I try to stabilize my work through selective inbreeding and backcrossing. To me when you plant 10 seed you should get 10 plants that are fairly similar. I'll preserve old school landraces if I feel they offer something and have a value to them. I like to source my genetics from the growers themselves and not resellers. I also like to stay away from seedbank high volume producers, I feel they lost that lovin feeling and it's gone , gone, gone....
Well I'll bring this to a finish and say that I hope some of you will enjoy the things I have had a hand in creating.
