Hey @ricky_simples what kind of lighting watts do you have in the 4x4 flower tent if you don't mind me asking? The reason i ask is your feed schedule you were talking about a possable P or K deficiency at 1.6 ec and moving that up to 1.8 ec. Just wondering if i am under feeding the girls sometimes. My calculation shows 1.6 ec = 800 ppm. I never go higher than 800 ppm's on my feed schedule but i am only running 550 watts of lighting in my flower room. I might be wrong but i always thought that the amount of watts used for lighting had a direct connection on the amount of ppm's for feeding the plants under them. Thoughts ?So probably going to hold off on getting a new hatchet (just for a little while). I was going through my needs vs wants list and I have a few other items to prioritize first.
Priority #1 is a new sleep system for backpacking and hunting. A good friend of mine switched to using a custom down quilt vs a traditional sleeping bag and I'm very intrigued. He swears it's a game changer. The main pros are it's ultra light weight (think under 2lbs) and it packs down really small into a compression sack, taking up less space inside the backpack. There's a few cottage industry manufacturers in the country that exclusively hand make these: Enlighted Equipment out of Duluth MN, UGQ Outdoors out of Jackson MI, and Hammock Gear out of Reynoldsburg OH. I'm still doing my research and comparing the pricing of a quilt vs going with a proven 'down' sleeping bag. But once I get my sleep system ironed out I'll transition back to looking for a dope (lightweight) 14'' - 20'' hatchet to take on some of my trips.
Garden wise we're on day 22 (yesterday). Things are doing pretty well. Noticed a slight P or K deficiency on the front left Sugarcane. Some discoloration around the serrated edges of some of the leaves. Also noticed the shade of green is a bit light on one the back right Hyper Fuel. When I top off the reservoir today I'll bump up strength from 3-2-1 to 3.6, 2.4, 1.2 to get that EC up from 1.6 to about 1.8.
Aside from that it's still business as usual. Overall everything looks promising and both the sugarcane have a really sweet / tart candy smell to them. It's still early on so that can change, but the tent definitely has a nice smell.
I did bump up watering the other day from 1/2 gallon per day to about .70 gallons of water per day. I noticed the pots getting a bit light between watering's so trying to stay ahead of any issues developing from that. So far so good, I'm liking the amount of runoff I'm seeing each day.
Busted out some Crescendo last night from last run. Super frosty and hash tasting pheno for sure. All five of the other Crescendo's grown were peach and gas terps, this one smell like kief, pepper, and a little earthy. Definitely a nice strain to mix into the rotation. The taste is almost identical to the Black Forest Cake I grew two years ago from Dankonomics. That same hashy kief smell and taste. It's almost like it's so covered in trichs that you need to burn through a layer of trichs before any plant matter gets burned, probably why I get those kief notes.

Nice defoliating job. Those girls look Happy Happy Happy!Day 27 Update
As I mentioned in my last post, the back right hyper fuel had to come down. I've been carrying on as usual with the 3 plants that remain. Both sugar cane plants are giving off a very strong and beautiful sweet candied smell. The remaining hyper fuel isn't giving me much to go off to describe the scent, pretty plain so far.
I got in there and defoliated a considerable amount earlier this week. The stretch is done too. Time to let em continue doing their thing.
In the 2x4 tent there's two sugarcane clones getting their footing in 1 gals. The Ghost Cake and Fierce animal are growing at a normal pace. I expect to see a big jump this week going into their 3rd week of life. One fierce animal has a mutation, had 3 cotyledon leaves and is now growing in sets of 3 leaves instead of two.
