I know I've posted this one before; but life is about to imitate art.
See you in an hour or so with everything --- EXCEPT what's on list.
read in the comments, "when Van Halen meets Red Hot Chili Peppers. " pretty spot on lol. The overalls with one strap too ?
I smashed their debut album hard back in the 90s . I really rated some of their music . As can happen I liked the songs that weren’t the commercial appeal tunes but more the edgy attitude songs they belted out . Its a shame they didn’t punch out more albumsSo for whatever reason this video demanded of me that I learn a little more about these guys... a quick Google later and I was shocked to find out that not only did they achieve a fair amount a noteriety in the early 90s, but they're from my neck of the woods as well! Genuinely surprised I'd never heard of them before. And they has some interesting gigs post Extreme as well! The lead singer actually sang for Van Halen for a short stint after Sammy left, and they're reunion tour was actually put on hiatus so their guitarist could tour with... Rihanna! Not what I expected....
Of course their biggest hit in the US was a shitty acoustic ballad while their glam metal songs did better overseas... apparently their huge in Jakarta...
Can't say they'll make my regular play lists but that was an enjoyable "behind the music" investigation
That's funny, I don't know any of their stuff, but recognize the name of the singer and the guitarist. The singer I guess from post-Van Hagar, but no idea why I recognize the name Nuno Bettencourt. So for whatever reason this video demanded of me that I learn a little more about these guys... a quick Google later and I was shocked to find out that not only did they achieve a fair amount a noteriety in the early 90s, but they're from my neck of the woods as well! Edit: I have heard More Than Words, that's likely why I never sought their other stuff.
Not my typical listen, but I was jamming on hairband nation during my commute into work on Sirius radio and it came on. Great speeding music ?So for whatever reason this video demanded of me that I learn a little more about these guys... a quick Google later and I was shocked to find out that not only did they achieve a fair amount a noteriety in the early 90s, but they're from my neck of the woods as well! Pornograffitti was played about twice a day when I was a kid, nuno bettencourt is soooo underrated, some funky catchy groovin music there. So for whatever reason this video demanded of me that I learn a little more about these guys... a quick Google later and I was shocked to find out that not only did they achieve a fair amount a noteriety in the early 90s, but they're from my neck of the woods as well!
