Im the same as @Orion in regards to not babying anything in the garden. Fall in line or get culled ✂️.
That being said @ExNavyInSTL , I feel like you could possibly be "overloving" it. Its a weed....let her be a weed! Every time you uproot it for another transplant to correct from the last corrections (specially this early) you are hitting the reset on any progress/gains/growth for days to come. You wind up making decisions faster than it has time to correct from the last decision. I know you are on a short timeline, but if you need more Greases Pieces seeds just let me know.

I concur. Well said, I was thinking of how to nicely say the same thing

PBB S1 absolutely loving life in her barely half-full cup of coco. Was looking hella wonky at first which I was excited about, is kinda normaling-out a bit but has some sizeable serrated teeth. I'll pop this one in here occasionally 👍🔥❤️. Thanks Red, I'm excited to size this up against our current PBB pheno that we hold 🙏
Funny growth early on seems to be par for the course when hunting this strain? I ran PBB seeds from both Thug and T-Squared and both were the same in regards to "wonkyness" popping up in some plants up til about the 2nd or 3rd node then straightend out to the standard fan leaves that all the fingers nearly point the same direction. Theres virtually no horizontal growth in the mom of the S1's.

@HydroRed -- There is no doubt this is what is happening.

I seem to have a problem letting them go with little "help."

For example, I have never waited to let a plant tell me it needs watering.

Thankfully, I learn and grow daily, although I don't always implement my lessons.

This is why I don't mind putting my stuff up online. I can handle the critique and welcome the help.

I still have 3 of 5 plants hanging in there. Plus, I have a week-old Black Strap Auto and soon-to-be Girl Scout Cookies Auto.

I don't grow Autos much anymore, but I have some seeds left, and they make great filler plants when something goes wrong.

My Veg will be extended this time, so the Autos won't have to be in 12/12 very long.

Having said this, could you look at this plant below compared to the others?

Should I be worried about the lighter, more lime-green coloring, or is this fairly common?

All are eating the same thing, and because of my other sad plant, these have not received extra water (nutrients) in a few days.

They are in AutoPots, but their roots are still reaching toward the bottom, where the source of life is.

The lime green plant is not in dry coco, so I don't think it is running short of nutrients.

Plus, I am comfortable with the pH in the 5.8 - 6.2 range. Meaning, I doubt there is a lock-out issue.

I didn't mess with the lighting or anything to make the plants appear different. They are all stock iPhone pics.

what's your npkcamg of your feed solution?

I'm still trying to work out the right E.C. for after the seedling phase.

Some people hit the ground at 2.0, and others go half as much.

Generally, I stay around 0.6 - 0.8 as the cotyledons begin to fade. Then generally ramp up to 1.2, then by 4 weeks, it will be closer to 1.5 - 1.8.

As I get closer to the flower switch, they are 2.0 to 2.2. I keep it there most of the rest of the way. Then, taper back to 1.8 in the last 2 weeks or so.

I don't flush or cut off nutrients. Although I bet you could go straight water for the last 2 weeks, considering Coco is clinging on to so many nutrients.

What does your E.C. map look like?

your numbers are very close to mine.

i can't run my EC anywhere close to those #'s but if it works for you.

maybe she'll grow out of it.

What does your E.C. map look like?
i start my seeds and go to the first true set of leaves/decent root growth with just 1mL of foliage pro/ gal of well water. not actually sure what total EC is. my well is 0.2

then i go to about 0.6 up to 1 and then back to 0.8 or so for the last few weeks. i feed multi times a day once they get to be a decent size.

and i use a bit of a home made mix: 2 parts coco, 1 part hydroton and 1 part sunshine #4

i'm at close to 9000ft so everything grows slower up here

This is the first time, and probably the last, I've used FloraFlex coco. I had good luck with their nutrients in the past, which gave me the confidence to try it.

I can't blame this mix with certainty, but this has been my wonkiest grow ever.

Not being mean, but any chance there is something off in your nutrient mix?
It just doesn’t get any easier than coco…to me anyway.
If you would like to try some Jack’s 321, I’d be more than happy to send you some?
Add some gypsum and Hydroguard and away you go!
Hate to see the struggle. :stoned:

My opinion, as a fellow coco grower, he's just overly helicopter-parenting. It's hard not to when getting started 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Caddis -- Anything is possible.

However, I have two high-quality E.C. and pH meters that I am confident in their output. I recently calibrated both. I calibrate at the beginning of every grow and at least once along the way.

As for my recipe, I'm pretty methodical when building the concentrate solutions. I check and double-check measurements and then check off once in the mineral has entered the beaker solution. The beaker sets on a magnetic stirrer, so dissolving properly is pretty much guaranteed.

I have grown many plants with my mix. Also, remember there are two other thriving plants in the tent. So, I doubt it is my mix.

And thank you for the Jacks offer. However, I have plenty of Jack's in the house, along with FloraMax. Those were my main choices before venturing out on my own.

@RookieBuds -- has what I think is the most accurate analysis. At least, that's what got this situation started.

In my new thread on this topic, I map out my plan for Rhubarb S1 going forward. I started that new thread because I don't my self-inflicted growing issues to be associated with the hard work breeders put into creating their cultivars in this forum.

This is all on me. But I am doing my best to grow out of it.

Because this looks like it might turn out to be a Soap Oper of a grow, I invite you to bring your ideas over to: Plant Issues with Winter/Spring 2024 Grow
