Anyone know how to find a growing mentor?

Ok so let’s say I get that HL 600 light, is the T6 still sufficient for exhaust/ filter purposes? Also I’m assuming I leave this intake flap (small rectangular area at bottom
Of tent) open so the “fresh” air from my basement will be sucked in?

I would recommend a "can fan" to bring fresh air in if you are going to be using the t6 for exhaust. Leaving the flap open will suck air in, but it will also let a bunch of light in at nighttime.

Something like this should do the trick at a reasonable price...

A 6" should be more than enough in a small tent like that. I run a 6" in a 5'x2.5' (12.5ft²) tent, with ~480W in there and it has no problems keeping up.

I even run a 6" in my 6'x6' (36ft²) and I have had up to 1250W or so running in it, and it keeps up, though the fan runtimes are significantly longer than the smaller tent I mentioned.

Yes, if you leave that flap open it will suck in air from outside the tent.

i had it for years for free on my metro
pcs phone.. now they can't find me.. and the # i forget.. it's linked to a email addy.. and it's not free.. so it's to much work to pay to use lol
Yea that sounds complicated lol.

For me it's just so worth it. My DabPress alone probably paid for one of my year's subscriptions lol. That thing weighs more than my first car lol

Add some free movies and music and it's a great deal I think.....

saved my ass more than a few times in this god forsaken lock down. lol
I even throw in things I know I can get around here, quite often for cheaper, just because. When it's -30°C and I have to start my car and warm it for 1/2hr to drive downtown 5 minutes away. Then I have to go look for it, navigating thru line ups......screw it.....'Zon that shit. And that was well before COVID lol

I gotta say, phoning Amazon, at least Canadian Amazon, has been a rather pleasant experience for me for the most part. I always get thru real quick and they always seem to get me sorted correctly and promptly.

One of the better places I've had to call for customer support, that's for sure.
Phone, cable, electricity or anything like those? Lol! I'd rather shoot myself in the face point blank with a potato gun than deal with most of them haha!

Ok so far tent 4x4 gorilla shorty
HLG 600 rspec light.....
next up.....
T6 + “can fan”
That cabinet is pretty slick but also seems pretty pricey, and I'm not a huge fan of the Kind LED lights it comes with. And not a fan of the grow tent kits either, because they usually include some sub par components. Since your considering the cabinet you clearly have a decent budget, so this is what I'd put together for a 3x3....

Light:

Tent:

Ventilation:

A couple clip on fans or a small tower fan for air movement in the tent and then whatever you want to use for a medium. I haven't done much with hydroponics lately so if you want a pre-built hydro system best to ask someone else about that part. But all those components I listed above are way better quality than what comes in the kits.
Thank you! This is very helpful and also motivating. I kind of went in another direction w the size 4x4 and lights HLG 600. Same goal tho! Def going to use soil. I’m concerned about nutrients and what I should and shouldn’t be giving at certain timeframes.
