I liked building it more than using it.
Mine is built using a hydraulic hose press, had to disassemble it recently to build some hoses. )
I’m more of a joint smoker.

I see dabpress has a new competitor it's called rositek they have a nice 8 ton model with 3x7 plates that's close to the same size & weight of the 6 ton dabpress

AT least you're getting in there & getting some experience right now I'm only in the thought stage

Plus one I have been looking and it seems easy to buy junk from everything out there. So I'll be watching this

I guess the rositek presses are made by dabpress thought they looked similar considering their budget friendly 4 ton press with 3x5 plates for $369 for what I'm gonna do the 8 ton version would be overkill

I still havent found anyone pressing the trimmings from a bud trimmer bowl I cut all the larger leaves off my buds before I put them in the trimmer so I get a lot of sugar leaf & sparkle in the trimmings from the bowl the quality of something squished from this remain to be seen hoping to find someone that has done this

Colorado Springs they have a trim store that you can rent a rosin press for a $100 a day. There's always a lot of used rosin presses for sale if you're on a budget.

By keeping the quality of the trim good by cleaning the big leaves off the buds before putting them in the trimmer should help with the quality of the rosin every harvest I have popcorn I usually give away I want to start pressing it

I'm also a newbie to pressing. From everything I've seen/read it's better to make hash out of trim and press nugs.

I have pressed a bit of trim in a pinch but the quality is very low a lot of fats or lipids or waxes not sure which but the go to now for me is either dry sift it and press the sift or just make bubble and press that.

I squished some sugar trim and the flavor was off flower and popcorn seem to be the way, and I can vouch for the greengenes press for sure i built it a few months back and absolutely love it too much in fact I've become a bit of a dab hog as of late lol currently in a break for the week as I somehow managed to blow through 6 grams in about 12 days with very little help from the wife, it just tasted so dam good

I think this is the key for using cheap presses, or maybe even good ones is make and press the hash. Hell I bet a hair straightener would work great with hash?

It's not IG porn quality bubble rosin but it is hella terpy broad spec magic as far as I'm concerned, no green taste as it was all long slow dried then 4 to 8 week cured before pressing only thing I've noticed is a boveda 62 is mandatory for yields over 10%

You're slaying it man I usually have a good bit of popcorn every harvest cant wait to give this a try I'm sure it will be a learning experience
