Jared up my current round of GG4 last night. While i never put my finger on the reason it did not produce well in the new environment i did notice the buds were smaller than normal and possibly more tricomb laden if that is possible with her. The following shots are what i pulled off of a 4' plant. Not much there but it is sticky icky plate of scissor jamming goodness. View attachment 21252 View attachment 21253 View attachment 21254
Hey Capt. I remember seeing a couple years ago where Tony Green (of Tony Green's Tortured seeds) was saying gg4 needed a good bit of additional calcium to produce well. I can't say if there's any truth to that, but he did do a lot of work with gg4.

Anyway, just throwing that out there. Yield notwithstanding, it looks fantastic.

@socaljoe she has always been a fair to medium producer but this was the first run for her in a new flower room. @HydroRed was telling me his would do that every now and then but also said the smoke was more potent when it happened. I have not sampled it yet. I did not weigh it but i bet i only got 1.5 dry oz's off the entire plant. She is back in my regular flower room this round right under a cob led that she loves.

I know Red knows gg4, so I'd have no problem deferring to him. Just thought you might be interested in that tidbit.

Can't wait to see her dialed in. (y)

Thanks Joe. I was looking at your journal earlier. Are you doing major trim and defoliation at 21 days into flowering. I usually do that at the 14 day mark but was thinking of extending that a little.
Yeah. It's a method I came across watching greengenesgarden on YouTube, he swears by a day 21 leaf strip. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd have done some pruning on the lowers earlier on, but I am lazy and prefer to get it in one go.

I am supposed to trim and defoliate tomorrow. I might go ahead and pick my flower sites and trim some lowers tomorrow but wait another week on defoliating. Every time i defoliate at the 2 week mark it almost looks like i did not do anything by the 3 week mark

I think that's the advantage of waiting until the end of week 3. By that time most plants have finished the transition/stretch period so the leaf stripping doesn't tax the plant while it's in a growth spurt. I don't know if there's anything scientific to that, but it makes sense to me.

Edit: I think I misread what you posted. When you say it looks like you didn't do anything, do you mean it grows back so quick? If yes, the same thing happens with a day 21 strip. The plants just fill back in.

Yes that is what i meant but i think i will wait till the 3 week mark to do the defoliation this time. Of course that plan could change when i get those shears in my hand trimming lowers tomorrow

Hey Cap I need your opinion I have these citrus milf x mystery dad do they look like they might lean toward citrus milf ? thanks in advance I have no experience with citrus milf & have only seen pics of her in late flower I'm using 6 of these for the shakedown run in the new tent View attachment 24603 View attachment 24605 View attachment 24607
On the first picture i can clearly see the Citrus saw tooth leaf edges. We will go ahead and tag @HydroRed he will know them much better than me. I just finished my first round with the Citrus. Well worth growing IMO. Good luck on the new run.

The two on the left look like the momma they came from, the one on the right however has signs from the dad showing in the leaf shape and finger count.
I'm on the cpu right now, i may have pics of the mom in veg still.
This was the daddy in veg.

when young momma would have three leaf fingers on alot of them, and daddy had 5 fingers when young. They both were sexually mature in these pics.
