That is definitely a cool looking shroom. Looks like a viscid violet cort. The gorge, id rather be hanging out there right now, than this house.....

When I was mushroom hunting this year I'd find 10 + holes a square foot out in our woods. I've been hearing a few at night. Estimated like a million per acre....nuts

Yes I am in Virginia in the Valley and they are starting to come out as you get closer to the Piedmont Mountain range...but only a few here in the Valley itself...I'll snap pics as I will be out riding in the Mellonlands today with my kids...I have written permission to the ride or hunt all of it...combined, including the donated land is over 10,000 acres! Very very picturesque.
