I noticed the same thing about mutants etc, and especially about nanners; feels like back in the days getting a pheno that threw some nanners was automatically rejected with no question asked, having the feeling that it was probably the only one of the crop throwing nanners.
Now I find myself a litt bit hesitant as you never know how the other pheno’s wil turn out..
Just my thought of course, seems like I’m just less surprised when I find nanners mutants etc than before.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of US breeders are willing to overlook the occasional herm if the strains has the terps/effect they're looking for, which is fine if they disclosed it more often rather than always blaming it on the grower. Would be pretty funny if seed packs had labels that said like “2% intersex rate in testing" or something lol. I'll honestly risk an occasional herm for some killer smoke, but it bugs me when a breeder calls a strain completely stable but haven't tested it enough to know that.
