Greetings and salutations!

Figured that since the state I'm in has recently legalized growing cannabis that I should start getting serious about it!

I can't find any photos of my last grow, but it was some sorta miracle with how big and beautiful it got. She went from a bag seed I mistreated every step of the way to this beast of an outdoor plant. I felt bad because I harvested so much that I couldn't dry/cure properly...

Hope yall are doing well. If anyone sees this, would you mind helping me out with strains that are 1:1 CBD/THC that I can buy seeds or clones for? I can't find anything but I'm not sure what to search or look for. Already placed an order for some Brisco Bargain Beans just because I really am overly excited for this summer.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

For your 1:1 strain the first thing that came to mind was Pennywise from Subcool but a quick search showed me its nearly impossible to find these days... but Vashon has a cross with it that might be worth a shot. Honestly, I'd happily take a crack at anything from this page... especially with everything on sale right now.

Also can get an additional 10% off anything except the relic gear with code RIU10 (hope yall mods don't mind me sharing a discount code from elsewhere, I'll edit it if that ain't kosher)

Ahhh ... living in the sweet Virginia breeze. Go Cavs.

I'd like your opinion on the new laws: they allow an ounce of buds, and 4 plants. So unless a grower completely sucks, he/she can get busted every time they have a harvest, because a minimal yield should easily be a qp.

Also, much thanks for supporting DC Seed Exchange, and welcome aboard.

I had to look into this as VA is my stomping ground as well. This link helped explain, the ounce is just in public.
4 plants per adult, but only 2 in flower. Weird and yea VA don’t know what they are doing, never did. I guess it’ll be nice to have a clean record again. ?Marijuana will be legal in Virginia on July 1. Here’s what is and isn’t permitted under the new law. - Virginia Mercury 12EDB8C6-E60D-469A-953D-A09A81522EF0.png

Thanks, all! Can't wait to get going. I got "called out" today at a flower shop buying some Fox Farm soil and nutes. A spry old(er) man said "that aint enough for 4 plants!" and it was funny and kinda surreal talking about it in public. (if you're in here, sorry it took me a second to figure out what you said cuz the pollen had my brain fried all day but good luck with your Gorilla Grow tent!)

It's poorly written as cannabis is clearly not understood well by these politicians, like many of the things they are able to regulate and legislate lol. Actually one of the funniest things I read was in an article where some VA republican rep pointed out that 4 plants will dwarf that limit and a democrat rep said that he doubts anyone will be able to get a single ounce from 4 plants :ROFLMAO:

I'm guessing they're going to use the next couple years before retail to "clean it up" though. I am glad they opened it up to home growers first, unlike NY with their immaculate conception buds. I'm tempted to say they sound like they're doing the right thing, but some activists have pointed out concerning wording and stuff (outside the obvious plants to harvest ratio) that I am hoping will be addressed and fixed (teen rehab, "open container" ambiguity, locking plants up etc.).

Sorry for the length but thanks again for the warm welcome and ofc I'll post grow pics as things move along :)

We’re actually in the same state. I read the same article. I think they should each be given 5 seeds and told to go grow. Watch YouTube, whatever they think they need and see how they do. They’d be in for an eye opener for sure. I’m actually in the process of trying to get one of the 450 cultivators licenses they are limiting commercial growers to. There’s a lawyer out of Roanoke that has worked with NORML and our reps for over 10 years that’s specializing in helping people get started in the process. I will tell you as of now it’s a 70k investment to start just in fees to the state and the lawyer is 250.00 an hour. Just FYI....????✌?
