Was going to wholeheartedly recommend this unit, until I saw the price.
I bought one about 10 years ago. They are the bomb.

I know I'm getting old, because retail pricing usually just pisses me off. I'm trying to look at it objectively, 50 bucks is about what you would pay for mid-line automatic drip coffee machine; and I do believe the Aeropress will deliver a better cup.

Just imagine a coffee syringe with a paper filter at the bottom.
No difference.

I vividly recall the two best brew sessions of my life.
2002 , Wells Grey Provincial Park, Clearwater, British Columbia.
Dormant volcano. The hand pump in the campground was basically pulling water through a mountian-sized natural charcoal Brita filter.
Heavenly Jo.

Other session was this very summer, on my sod walking trip with @DopeDaniel.
I began to feel a bit uneasy as we hiked; I was doing the math and realized I had not brought enough water.
In that situation water was the most valuable thing I possessed.

It was raining so hard when I woke up to take a leak that my pj pants were plastered to my backside and water was running down my heels by the time I made it back undercover.
It was then that I had an epiphany.
Getting down a clay gully is one thing, getting out of a wet one is impossible.
Been there, done that.

Thing is, Ddan had the coffee maker in his tent. As I would rather stay dry than be social, I set to work on a plan.
That had to be about the same time that I realized there was an endless supply of water running off the corner of my tarp.
I had enough moulu for Ten, and I was the only neanderthal in the cave.

I used a dishcloth to make a pouch, like a hobo's hanky, on the end of a chopstick.
Downing that brew as fast as I could boil water.
That was my whole morning, best day ever.
That's friggin awesome ingenuity. 👌
Where there's a will for coffee there's a way. ❤️🤗🙌

I have this lovely little gem I travel with, my guys got it for me for x mas about 6 yrs ago. Usually found in the backseat of my work truck for emergency purposes. ☕️

It gets about 3 to 4 normal sized cups per juiced battery using ice cold water, or about 5 or 6 if it's above 60* water.

I've even made pretty solid iso extractions in a French Press. They're versatile as fuck and simple to clean with a bit of baking soda and water.

I'm not sure how they do it in Turkey! Seems like there are a few ways but the key is to get the grounds super fine.

Probably like a Mortar Pestle combo to get actual powder consistency, as they've been doing it a long time. Ethiopia does a similar thing, where the beans stay in the cup as the water goes in. Personally I feel like it's a great way to keep all the flavors in the drink, but I have to admit, a French Press does a darn fine job too lol. Ever make loose leaf tea in them?

Those look nice and simple. They look hella convenient. Now I need to get a hot pot or something as well.

I'm married to Makita through just having so many batteries. I was wondering about this one for sure . 👍

Imho they're one of the best hands down. Have 11 of the 5.0 batteries, three of the 3.0 ones, and a slew of their tools. Kinda married to em too.
Takes some coffee in me before the tools get used though. Lol

Someone talk to me about a burr grinder, and a proper method of drip brewing. I currently pulverize my beans in the ninja blender cup thing, and prolly make my coffee way too strong. Some days, shit makes me instantly start sweating. LOL. I think I'm ready to take my coffee game to the next level.
I got a Zassenhaus electric burr grinder about 25 years ago. Still works great. Been through a lot of methods of making coffee and I only french press now. I did Bodum presses for years but breaking glass got annoying. Bought an all stainless french press and that may be one of the best purchases I ever made ;)

In green beans.........Harrar Horse was my ticket. Ultimately the friggin shipping was killer on that though, now it's relegated to "treat yourself" status.

I'm not that big of a coffee guy but when it gets really cold I do drink some. For me it has to be a darker but not the strongest. I usually just have whatever the wife or daughter has around. They switched to pods so that cut out a lot of good coffees. I will have an energy drink or two most mornings. Black Mamba Venom is what I drink.

So I used to work at a place that was next door to a coffee company. Man oh man, the smells coming from over there were crazy strong. Some good some not so good. I sampled a few different beans they gave me and to be honest it was pretty good.

My wife sure like the pods, and I save the spent coffee for composting. I typically enjoy dark roast coffee all the way, amd am also somewhat of a tea toter...I am trying some green tea from @Kanzeon tonight. Golden Celebration Matchta from Hibiki-an. Very smooth and mild! Added a little crystallized ginger and boom!

Forgot a side note of humor :

My Caffeine intake over the years has actually dropped from what it used to be, back before I started College, and while I was still in College. I was asked by a Doctor about my Caffeine intake back then, and I said "LD/50" with a straight face LOL. I don't drink multiple pots of Coffee + Jolt anymore, since I can't find the Jolt anymore, but I also only have a cup or so of Coffee if the Energy Drink isn't doing the trick for me.
What did you study in College Billy if I may ask ?
Nope no smart ass to follow unless it’s too good an opportunity. Just wondering and did it help you in life .
My son finished his degree last year but as yet it hasn’t really found him a career and he’s a little in limbo 🤔.
