Feel good about one of them. Lol.
Gave another spritz of water to the one still holding on to its helmet.

I just popped the Afgaan 90 from tlt and they seemed, how shall I say, very ripe too. Hard as fuck just like these, would recommend seed cracker, I am a hack with a crescent wrench. I'm also 9/9 on 3 different ph'rs gear this round ;)

I can see you have been managing your humidity. I was below 20% RH and I could not get the roots to hit the edge of the pot. I was irrigating to the point of saturation every 24 hours, but they were still air pruning.
I might ditch my four inch starters, and start sowing in 6-inch net pots,,, Nah; I am too impatient to dig the root balls out, and I am too cheap to throw them away.
I do like those oversized Tea-bags that I have been seeing around.
They seem to be just the ticket, for plugging into common beds.
And compostable, I imagine, eh?

Yeah, same spot.

Always rethinking. This bed got heat, only 150W or so but still enough to manage this on a night when propane ran out for the heater.

For those that don't know, this bed is equipped with a heating wire used in grenhouse/hoophouse applications to warm the soil for seed germination.

below 20% RH
And using a 400 MH, these fancy dimmable leds are cool that way, but 😎 and 🥶 are not the same.

I turned the tent fan on (light blue line) when propane was restored.

Day 81 veg, have been on 14/10 for over 2 weeks now, no additional positive id of male/female. Had an issue with the soil heater not turning off. Didn't catch it until soil temp was over 110F. Felt warm so I put my hand down on the side of the bed and was worried the bed had gone exothermic 🔥 but luckilly putting the heater on an inkbird has resolved the issue, kinda. Looks like the heater doesn't turn on until soil drops below a certain point. Plant health definitely suffered but looks to be on the mend now.

Ordered a 2-foot extension for the tent but I'm 1.5" short on clearance to use both the 1-foot and 2-foot so I'll probably just cut the tubes.

Even with the extension I may still end up hitting abort with the seed plants and make a go with the clones??

Yesterday, 12 weeks of veg,19 days 14/10, switched to 12/12 tonight.

I got the 2' extension for the tent installed, had to chop 2" off the poles. Installed a few bumpers to keep them off the tent, a couple bungee trellises are in route. Picks are gonna be pretty bad, just gotta reach in blind basically.

The light is dimmed as much as I can (icr 180W ?) without dropping voltage, I'll try to grab numbers for the next update. Definitely does better in low light but is like a moth to the flame.

Nice! I think they'll perk up a lot under 12/12 since that's much closer to what they generally grow under. Very curious to see how this grows and smokes!

Also get ready for the stretch! Those things will be brushing the lights by the time you're harvesting.
