Dude, thanks and thanks for the well wishes... Me too, believe me! I've ran several BOG strains and for whatever reason never been able to finish a single flower! They are my Eleanor! I ran his Blue Moon Rocks a decade ago, ended up moving and gave them away. Had Bogglegum, BMR, Lifesaver and I believe Super or Sweet Cindy, had an emergency medical issue occur and just felt it was best to shut it down.

I have these 3 Lifesavers and about 15 beans of his Blue Kush which I believe is BMR x SourBubble. I really should sow those. For right now, lemme (please God) just get a winner with these!

Do you remember what the Sweet part of Sweet Cindy was? I've got a five pack that's been in the vault for years. I wanna say it's Sweet Tooth.

I did not remember so I looked it up. Indeed it was Sweet Tooth #3, a 3 way cross between it, Cinderella 99 and BOG Bubble.

I only remember his short flowering times and promoting smooth enjoyable smoke with great pain relief. Those tick all the boxes for my keeper cabinet.

On a more positive, less painful note... Shall I ask you keep an eye out Sir?.. Kelly Maxwell is about to show some leg.

I'd love to get my hands on a pack of those blue Moon Rocks now

Hey everyone. Hope you've been well. Myself, I've had a helluva month. I was hit by a car while riding my bike. Nothing broken but my spine got tweaked. Been doing chiropractic and therapy sessions 3 days a week.

Then I caught Covid again and while not nearly as crucial (respiratory) as the first time, this bout has been ongoing. The headaches were unlike anything I ever felt, simply brutal, the kind that feel like someone's got the back of your eyeballs in a vise, which made it absolutely excruciating to go into the grow room. Even with my best wrap around sun glasses it was complete and total misery. Staring at the computer screen wasn't much better. I lost my sense of taste and smell again and have had this light but chronic cough I just cant seem to shake. WTF is up with this sh!t?

So what about my garden... Well it's been kind of disappointing. It is underperforming. I cant seem to catch a break. The Mikados are all garbage, I mean not totally, just underwhelming in stature and stank. A couple stand out but not by much. One and done for sure. Of the two cuttings I took, both are looking to be the worst cuttings I could've chosen. Only one is a standout but is anything but short and squat and well suited for my style of gardening.

The 3 Lifesavers are weird as well. Partially my fault because they require early topping in veg to promote side growth, otherwise these babies grow straight up growing golf ball sized nugs right next to the main stem. Once sexed in flower and topped for a single clone each, they literally stopped all vertical and lateral growth and just enlarged in size. Nothing to write home about on frost or smell. I guess it's early but still disappointing.

The Kelly Maxwells... Well I didn't take any cuts of those because by the time they showed sex, they had stretched like Jack's beanstalk and again, that simply doesn't suit my space or growing style. There are a couple stinkers, one smells like heavy cherry popsicles/cherry cough syrup and its absolutely sticky as hell. Structure is strong and stout and stacking nicely as well. During my bottom clean up I left a small amount of foliage to reveg if it knocks my socks off. It would be worth a different pruning technique to run again.

On top of that I thought I saw what I thought could be a single thrip so I hit hard with Azomax and feeding after that with Monterey Spinosad. Unfortunately I thought I was mixing heavy in a 3 gallon bucket when I was actually mixing in a 2 gallon bucket. Almost everyone got a light burn. Looks like buttholes.

Ugh. Anyway, I prefer not showcasing sub par gardens because I'm not a subpar gardener but its a comeback garden and most of it has been with me far from my best. I'll try to get some pics up tonight of what's going on. Just been feeling crazy defeated and crazy lazy. We're about 35 days in flower so things are definitely popping, just not popping popping. I type too much.

Hope all is better for you guys. Stay safe.

I've been binge watching X-Files, the mythology collection. I swear it's pretty easy to swap out black oil virus for today's plague, and the alien race for a certain region of the world that has bat markets w/o too much of a plot makeover.

Glad you're back, amigo.

This is not my idea of Sea Of Green...lol.

Things have not gone my way this round. I took the worst cuts possible, the two Mikados I chose were for their squat and broad leaf appearance early on. Both turned out the least desirable. Their clones also took the longest to root. Mikado is OUT.

Out of the two Copper Candy plants I took one cut, from the shorter, squatter, broader leaf of the two, turns out the taller pheno was the one I should've picked, its danker, stickier and stacks better.. It is the superior specimen. I may reveg this one. It smells amazing.

The 3 Lifesavers are relatively similar but the smallest will culled. These have the chunkiest main stem I may have ever seen for a plant less than 14 inches tall. Its almost as thick as a sharpie. Their poor yield this time is on me. These have potential to be grown correctly from clone and possibly produce a decent SOG garden.

Kelly Maxwell, well she's got a few different phenos. Regrettably I didn't take any cuts whatsoever because these girls like to stretch. However there's no doubt out of all 4 strains that a couple of these are the dankest in the garden. I wont go into smells because its early on but one is a chemical cherry popsicle/cough syrup that I think is gonna be killer.

As things get closer to finish I'll make a greater effort for close ups and descriptions. For now I just wanted to get some pics up. I defoliated tonight so the burn damage isn't as noticeable. That shit was embarrassing. My pen was acting erratic as well, so I calibrated and checked against a spare and its 4 tenths off. Unreal.

I will say this, any shortcomings of these genetics is on me. I'm out of my groove this grow with different lighting, no gas, and these tiny ass one gallon pots sketch me out for root bound issues.

Sorry to hear about the covid crap and getting hit by a car, damnit @manthatreeks . Thats about how things have been going around here as well. I totally feel ya on the headaches and grow lights, freakin terrible. Hope you get to feeling better man ??

Yeah man, I am feeling better thank you. It's been nearly a month to the day and I'm clear of the headaches but still have that light but persistent cough and my nasal innards just wont dry out. You know the one, you dont have to blow your nose but you sniffle 19 times a day. The guy that t boned me on my bike, well that shit was just ridiculous.. He admitted guilt on the spot, He couldn't believe he did something so stupid either. I was lit up like a Christmas tree with legit bike lights, you could see me from the space station. I called an ambulance chaser. Maybe some light at the end of the tunnel.

Gracias Amos. Still unsure if it was intended to be a plague of the body or mind. I think they got both. What a plot indeed.

Greetings everyone. Been a while. I think I alleviated my camera inadequacies and feel like I could post some pics now. I still gotta use flash against a black tent to make my stuff look half as frosty as you guys but hey, it is what it is!

First two are a Lifesaver. I topped these for a single cut around week 2 flower. That was it. This is what they do. Reminiscent of Comet Kush in stature. Definitely worth another go with a longer, more attentive veg. Very dense. 20220203_231909.jpg

20220203_231614.jpg

These next two shots are my shortest Mikado. No keepers found.

20220203_232853.jpg 20220203_232801.jpg

These next shot is of my shortest and tallest Kelly Maxwell. Kinda wish I would've cloned the shorty.

This is the better pheno of the two Cob's Copper Candy... The one I didn't clone cause it was lanky. You can see I left some bottoms for re-veg.

20220204_001559.jpg 20220203_234958.jpg

So I've never grown in 1 gallons before or with the lights I'm using. I usually don't de-foliate this heavy, but I fear lack penetration with the taller girls. ThEY were stripped at roughly 30 days... I know I said day 35 last post but looking at a calendar it's clear I fail at math. These pics are day 40 from flip and I just did a light Clearex flush to get run-off around 650. From here on out it's 50% Jack's with teas and complex carbs to bulk up the dank and weight. It's a balance between the ones that might go 65 days and the shorter ones that might only do 55. I'm big on the flush and feeding nothing but sugars last two weeks.

It's far from my best work but it's alright for 600w and a first go with multiple new strains.

Blue Moon Rocks was the first pack of seeds I ever bought...1998...from BOG direct...met him on OverGrow...grew most of his stuff over the years...yes, I wish I had them now!
Bong RIPs in Peace BOG!

I don't have any BMR but I have a full pack of his Blue Kush that I'm contemplating letting someone work.

I'm not sure what has happened with his strains, it would seem nearly impossible as well as he was known and his involvement with the community that anyone would just let them go to waste... However I've politely emailed his wife asking if there was a current strain list and so far there's been no reply. Somewhat worrisome as she used to reply so quickly.

Yeah...I believe James Bean is your best source for info as the Family is not responding to requests for seeds. I'm sure there are some resurrection threads at other boards. I don't believe BOGs son is going to carry on with his work now that he is gone

BlueMoonRocks was one that always caught my eye and wanted to try... Among many others from their offerings.

Although his wife isn't answering emails for beans... Trust I've tried...and felt like a dick for even doing so at the time, RIP BOG... even though my intentions were pure, and just wanted to keep the genetics around...still felt like a douchebag...I still wish his family and successors all the best ?

Moving forward, they're genetics are not going to waste, trust that! My brother @Idlewilder has beans that he increased, SourBoggle, that I'm currently running. I'm not gonna be able to increase this current stock cause of minor imperfections this round but, they will get another look/go at it soon plus an increase whether needed or not, it's necessary?

Yeah MO, pretty sure the feelings were mutual asking MrsBog for a strain list, I wanted to be polite but at the same time I wanted to get my hands on what I could, while I could. His gear was always reliable and trouble free.

Man I wanted that Sour Boggle as well.. The sour strains were never in stock for me!.. I still got a fat pack of his Blue Kush left though. Maybe I'll use em as my first "continuation" project.

Thanks for the coming thru... (y)

Thanks for the info man, but beyond any info or source I find here, this is probably the end of the trail for me. I prefer small circles and I figure I feel as comfortable here as anywhere. I appreciate your willingness to help. Thank you!

Lifestar was available on James Bean auctions and sour Bluetooth on SHN site just fyi if anyone was looking for BoG gear.
I saw that.. Out of curiosity I googled James Bean + BOG and found the SHN auction site. Looks like a pack or two show up once in a while.

Hit the dm if you want to run some ?

What a gesture of generosity. Thank you man. DM will be sent.
