Day 50. Not bad for a couple of 300 watters. The fruit begins to swell. Fed Jack's at 33% with a dose of Overdrive. After that it's a full flush to get run off below 300ppm, then drop night temps to 61° and feed nothing but Hi-Brix till harvest. Stay tuned for the color change and the bulk up on oils.

While this was not an optimal garden on my part, some of the genetics came through big time. The upside is I'll have at least 8 or 9 different phenos from 4 different strains of dank herb to share and enjoy. I was a little disappointed at first but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The 1st single bud shot is Cobs Copper Candy and the 2nd is a Kelly Maxwell. Both dank af. 20220208_003839.jpg 20220206_080306.jpg

Hope everyone's well. If you ever wondered what a few different phenos of Mikado looks like grown in 1gal pots, here you go.

This is the biggest Mikado pheno. It's kinda legit. May re-veg and attempt to tame. They went into 1gals approximately 23 days from seed and were flipped almost immediately. I took cuts after sexing, about 15 days in F. I couldn't have chosen worse clones. Wait till I show you guys the Cob's cut I took later. Pretty wild. Wicked Bonsai Mom in the making, just for fun.

Back to Mikado, biggest one in the garden. Several pics of the same plant here, in different light and angles. Bare with me, I'm experimenting here!

Above is between a 24"stool and a 20gal can on a dolly, again in 1 gal pot. Now that they're sexed I could top early, veg a week in 2 gallons before flip and grow some straight monsters!!!

Next post I'll show the shortest pheno and the one I call the Bouquet pheno.

Okay here's the shortest and widest pheno. Small buds but dark and crazy triched up. 20220212_032626.jpg Sorry for the poor quality but you get the idea.

20220212_031134.jpg

This is the bouquet pheno below. Triched up and just rich looking. Should be really cool testing the flavors and effects. This girls is purty

Again, day 55 and they just started their flush. I can get into that if someone asks but basically I had to do an average of the latest I believe I could take the early finishers and the earliest I could take the late finishers. It's all about finesse!

Actually in the Kelly Maxewl shots I've got coming up, you'll see evidence of how I "finessed" a spinosad burn 3 weeks in...lol.

Alright. Have a good day all.

Well, I got a good flush started the last couple days. With these 1 gallon pots you have to water pretty much every other day. It takes about 5 gallons of nutrient to get 20% run off for all the 17 plants. I was mixing 10 gallons with microbes to start, feed half early one day, then let the other half brew for 30 hours before feeding late the 2nd day... This gives me a break on every other day feedings, so I'm not constantly mixing nutes and also keeps the root zone healthy. I use the Feed, Feed, Flush technique.

Everyone got multiple flushings night before last. The trick to using Clearex properly is to feed it early in the day, let it sit for 10 hours so the salts attach to the sugars, then can be flushed again with lighter dose of Clearex. The first attempt results in PPM going off the charts and the meter will red OL for overload. After a few rounds PPM will begin to decrease. The effort is well rewarded in the end result.

I have dropped the temps and feeding nothing but enzymes and Hi-Brix molasses. I want the roots purged and cleaned, doing nothing but up-taking carbs. The growth is done. Now it is time to plump and swell.

What temps do you guys like to run the last week or two of flower? How cold do you go at night? I'm running 75 lights on and 68 lights off right now... But when I know how long a strain goes I like to run the last 5 days as cold as possible, sometimes as low as 58 in the dark. I was taught that this stresses the plant in a way that it'll produce more glands to protect itself. Feeding/increasing the sugar/brix levels helps achieve this.

Goin' for the goo baby.

Comments are kinda thin but these buds sure ain't! I'm coming around on this garden. At first it was kinda lackluster, I made some mistakes but harvest is in sight. The fruit will be pure. No change in color just yet, we'll see what happens. I'm kinda rushing it but I have early and late finishers and nobody gets special treatment.

Here's Kelly Maxwell. 2nd largest in the garden only to a Copper Candy. She has the sticky tricks, so much as light contact and she's sticking around. 2nd pic is another pheno.

I'll shoot the CCC later. She's the biggest girl I. The garden.

@Amos Otis meet Kelly.

Gonna be some nice smoke for sure. I think she's gonna go at least 65. These will have the finest flush of the bunch since they'll come down last.

HLG 300R and an Eye 315. I've become happy with this.

Let me know if I'm boring you guys.

I see nothing boring in here at all. I apologize for not being in as often as I'd like. So much good work going on at this site and it's tough [for me] to keep up with them all. Thanks for tagging me, amigo. Drop some pics and reports in the BBB thread too by all means - I rarely miss posts there - and thanks again for showing off the skills. You've certainly done right my Ms Maxwell.

Thanks man, It really wasn't my intention to single you out but I'm glad you stopped in. I tagged you cause I've been saying I was gonna post pictures for a month, Kelly's a tall lass and they kinda stay in their place. They're a little wieldy in their one gallons. I gotta crazy re-veg CCC i might drop in your thread, just for fun. Shes growing in a square shaped bush and it's crazy as hell. Thanks again for the comment.

Not boring at all man. Keep up the good work!
What kind of bulb are you running in the 315? I really like Philips despite the price
Thanks Idle... I'm running the factory Hortilux that came with the fixture. I only ran Eyes and Sunmaster 600's when I grew with HPS so Hortilux has always been a favorite. When I saw they came out with this, being a loyal customer and user, I bought theirs. I probably would not recommend.

It was crazy expensive compared to like a growers choice or any generic brand, and all those will run the Phillips, which to my understanding are the creators of the technology. You can damn near buy two of those for what the Eye Hortilux fixture costs... When the bulb goes soft, I'll probably run a Phillips myself, if I don't replace it with the another new 300R I have. Honestly, after this crop, I think I'm gonna run all three, the 315 in the middle and the two 300R's on either side... 915w over a 3x6 oughta bang!

I have a GC 315 that I like, but it puts out too much heat so it collects dust now lol. HLG qb’s ftw!!
You’ll have insane light penetration if you run all three fixtures. If you have a 4k bulb, I’d run that in flower between the two 300r’s

The flush continues. The Lifesavers got the chop 5 days ago around 55-56 days. Most of the Mikados as well. I think two are left on the table. The remaining are Kelly Maxwell, the longest finishers this time around. These should be amazing. Check that flush PPM. That's right, 220 baby. These will be smooth as silk with a legit 14 day flush and 200ppm Hi-Brix diet. Clean. This herb is gonna be sweeeeeeet.

Here's a couple phenos. One green and one purple-ish. Can't wait to puff this stuff.

And some purps. Just a little purps.

Thanks for stopping thru!... Dude, those TDS pens were THE SHIT. I've had that one since 2009.

I think its cool you noticed. Did you know they had replaceable tips? Back when it was righteous to engineer affordable parts we could service ourselves, instead of engineering obsolescence and failure so you have to replace entirely. I calibrate that one once a year and it's never been off by more than 20ppm. Legendary!

I wish I would've had the foresight to buy a couple more, or at least a few more tips. I was gonna do a review on them but they aren't available so what's the point. They last a lifetime when you treat them with a little care and respect.

Great tools.

Was wondering that myself Just how long those tips would last. I use mine for quite a while and never had any issues and I wouldn't be surprised if that dude still using it. They last man That's why I bought it in the first place. My long lost buddies about to get a phone call for my damn digital testers back lol.

Alright. Poppin" my cherry. Let's find some stinkers!

These are 17 days old. Dropped germinated seeds on Thanksgiving. Paper towell method, you know the drill. I just removed the bottom set of single leaves and cotyledons hoping to stimulate growth. Average 80°/50rh. I foliar once a day with 10 ppm RO bumped up to 100ppm with nutes, any nutes, be it calmag, liquid karma or whatever. I just make sure to start with clean water and keep it at 100ppm.

They've been feed a couple times with light teas, with the last feeding done with Jacks 321 at 33% strength. Lookin okay although I think my Great White is old because my roots are kind of weak. I should have better growth, but Im not sure whats going on. My teas got no fizz when I shake em up. Does recharge go bad too? All my stuff is well over a year old. I've calibrated my meters but something seems off. I dunno, I'm a cutting guy!!! We used to tell customers seeds are for birds!
