Finally getting around to popping my Blueberry pack from DJ. I've heard from many different sources that finding the blueberry muffin pheno/terpene profile is quite hard. In his Potcast episode DJ mentions that particular plant type was more abundant in prior generations. So I will be open pollinating all the males and all the females for a personal seed increase. My hopes are that I'll have enough seed stock to pass to a few friends and put the rest in storage. Maybe start germinating them down the road to look for that blueberry muffin unicorn. I have no real intent behind this other than finding a stellar headstash plant.

They're consistent as hell. You're going to find something nice for sure. ????

Oh man! Blueberry is one of those strains that I haven't ever had, ever seen, or ever smelled, and yet it's the parent to SO many of my favorites !! Blue Cheese, Blue Dream, Skywalker.... I've heard that the original Blueberry was lost years ago, and the newer ones aren't "quite" the same, though having never even smelled one it's hard to say for me. I have to be honest; I'm glad you're doing open pollination here to make way more seeds of it. Even though I've never tasted it, it's still a parent to some of my favorites :) Hope you find that Muffin one bro! Closest thing I've smelled to a straight up Blueberry Muffin is Blue Cheese X Blueberry Muffin, and she isn't even flowering yet.

Awesome good luck man! There's tons of little tricks out there for these finicky guys n gals - lower N, organic if possible, not directly under the light, they like their soil dry. A new one I read recently was more aeration in the soil helps a lot.
With the F5 original blueberry - I think the mom leans more towards earthy blueberry & wine rather than syrupy / muffiny blueberry. TBH my interest in DJs blue lines is more so in the quality of the highs - moderate potency, euphoric, enjoyable, anti-anxiety. I plan on searching some of lines at some point - I had a really nice blueberry plant from the Breeders Choice mix 2 - ended up letting it go as the yield and taste left a bit to be desired (light berry), but the high was an awesome functional sativa that enhanced everything.

Punching along. I realize that I may have let my excitement get the better of me. Ideally I would veg these in 1 gal pots, sex, take cuts and flower the cuts in 2 gal pots for the open pollination. In doing that I could have my males separated and staggered for the girls. Instead I figured I would veg as long as possible in the cups before transplant to 1 gal for flower. But I won't be able to stagger the males. I think it will be alright and I can pull it off, but I realize I need to make some upgrades before I attempt another seed increase. Mostly ditching solo cups and vegging in 1 gallon pots.
