What?
20240207_104310.jpg
I said veg was backed up, plenty of room for a few seedlings.

For you Billy- Cookies Kush x Runtz Buttonz @HBZ fems or regs?

Modified Pigs - @Deebs Same question fems or regs?

Bakehouse, Afgaan90 preservation, Afgan Mix and a slew of low thc.

Soil is supposed to get here today, should be able to transplant the clonex vs. Imio cuts and give an official report tomorrow.

Gonna try not to put anything out until June 1

Clonex (L) vs. Imio (R) 30 days

For the actual side by side It's a tough call. If it weren't for Imio, I'd be going back for another cut of MB3 but generally see more root mass on the clonex side.

Kept the one best looking one of each and Clonex was used on 1,2,4 and 6 while Imio was used on 3 and 5.

For the group that was all Imio, it looks horrible.

2 had the weakest of roots

This round goes to Clonex.

I use Clonex myself for all my clones now. The only time I used anything else, was an experiment basically; Found a Weeping Willow Tree, and cut off a branch of that. After getting all the leaf material off the stick part, we chopped it up into small pieces (maybe a half inch at most) and put that in a jar with some water in it, and shook it up every so often for about 24 hours, and then, I put a clone on one of those little foam floater things (technical term) that lets it float on the water, with the stem submerged, and kept it moist and dark for a bit, and got some roots to pop on it.

I've heard Aloe Vera, the fresh kind from a plant can work too, but I've not tried that one. We have a gallon of Clonex, and a bunch of the gel AND the powder kind on hand out back, so, generally I just use that. I use scissors to bifect the bottom of the stem and open it up, and sometimes use a scalpel to cut the outer layer up and shave some of that stalk part off so there's more area for roots to poke through easier. It's worked very well for me.

So like, you're running a Runtz Kush Cookies for me huh ? I have some of that Runtz Buttonz myself, so get you a good one, and add OG to the name, and watch the money pile up bro!

Been chopping a branch every other day on the GG, should be able to start testing in a few days. Up-potted a cut of it for a quick turn-around.

Rhodium is cloudy with a speck of amber, but the plant is pretty well looking done. Thinking tomorrow for chop.

Top dressed the 6in pots, 2T 50:50 ewc:Dr. Earth 4-4-4. Got started on the seed pop, used the crescent wrench on the Afgaan 90 but was a pia so I started just popping them in my mouth and cracking with my teeth. The gw x cnc x ppp were less mature and didn't really crack so I didn't try too hard on them. I also chewed up about a tsp of other canna seeds before hand to get the enzymes flowing 🤷‍♂️ .

Both remaining Blueberry Muffin have a fecal note to them.

Willow water is no joke. From my experience I found it outperformed clonex and another commercial rooting hormone.
found a willow tree up here and a big aloe plant I'm going to utilise. Hate paying for stuff I can make or use for free that is superior from my experience.

I've got an idea or two about willow water and may try them as well. There is also a liquid version of Imio, I got the gel because it's what I'm familiar with and figured I'd keep the methodolgies the same for this first round. I think there are advantages to being in liquid form, namely the potential for capillary action. Imio is microbes that make rooting hormone. Point of Imio for me was establishing the relationship with beneficial microbes as early as possible. Well, if there aren't any roots then that isn't likely happening. IMO the only thing any of these products/concoctions do is reduce the time to healthy clone, if the environment is manged correctly there shouldn't be any trouble reaching 95-99% success.

I was catching up on the KIS podcast (soil dr. and bug lady) and got some validation on the pruning method I am using regarding Calcium uptake. Essentially it reduces the burden on the plant by reducing the number of growing shoots the Ca has to be distributed to. I don't feel like I'm loosing anything other than bud that's a pia to trim. It's fun too, cause every plant is different, even the same cuts.

Also learned Met52 is back. It went away right when I was getting heavy into IPM more than a few years ago now. There is a granular version of BioCeres (Bavaria Bassiana) for direct mixing to the soil and BioWorks has a suffoil x alternative called Epishield that uses plant based oils, not for me but gotta stay up on this shit if I wanna call myself an ipm mod.

truly I was blown away with how fast compared to clonex, that powder hormone. I even tried it in the aero cloner with same plant a few cutti g's after clones. Aloe dip straight in soil is good too.
There is another simple method. Cup of warm water, teaspoon sugar, vinegar and baking soda. I'll give that one a whirl over winter. Always up for new methods and always learning. Lots of ipm to keep up onshore big fella. I'm going to try a new one shortly too. 1lt raw aloe material juice into 100l water. Well a smaller volume but same ratio. Company selli g it here rates it as a bird and pest deterrent as foliar and drench. Great hormones too lol. But apparently bugs don't like it. Well we shall gi e it a whirl.
Grow is looking good mate, not long for your outdoor to kick in. Nala is spending final week enjoying life waddling around and eating fine cuisine. She's too tough for her own good bless her soul. Thursday she rests for good. Hope your pup is doing well mate

20240211_082741.jpg

If you zoom in on the one with flash you can see an ok representation of the clear/cloudy/amber, calling it 10/87/3

Back to being excited for harvest after smoking this yesterday and this morning. Chocolatey, not harsh considering, no headache like I normally get with early/quick dry. Muscle relaxation supreme, if I had to chop now I think I could and not be disappointed. Looking forward to pinning down my harvest time over the next few runs.

Chopped Rhodium @Meatman morning of day 61 not much amber if any, same goes for clear, lots of cloudy and plant just looked done. Expecting effects to be edgy anyway.

Would probably do better to scrog, below average yield, could probably produce lots of smaller buds if pruned differently. Spicy, sweaty, hard working, earthy odor. To me looks like a headband pheno. Wouldn't call it light sensitive but avoid excessive light, you can see the difference between a "top" and "lower", over 1000 ppfd was too much for this one.

Predictable stretch approx. 2 times. The males were shorter and looked like a different pheno so ymmv.

Friggin nice mang, lookin damn tasty imho.
How much longer you think that gg4 needed for best expression?
Love hearing about the notes of chocolate yer finding, and that muscle relaxation you mentioned. Need that effect badly. Lol
Just took a bunch of new cuts from the gg4 here. Only had the one clone from last round make it, but she's a healthy veg plant atm so more coming. 🤞
