Those seeds were what most of us started with. When seeds were found in any of the other higher quality buds we saved them but for the most part we were all flush with dirt weed seeds which when grown were obviously better as it wasn't sprayed with anything, wasn't compressed and was of course fresher.
I felt like that was the case, that running the beans would lead to good results :)

There was some Thai sticks with opium. Good old days but I'll take our 20% THC plants, $30 hash bag set AND legalization any day of the week?

In our current global market I would assume acquiring some poppy seeds shouldn't be difficult. Uou could technically grow poppies, slice the flower bud with a razor several times from stem toward the flower tip and collect the dried sap the next day then add it to your smoke.

There were hundreds of bricks stored in a farmhouse near a college town in Va early 80s, and when they finally circulated it, it was known as Chicken Shit. Awful smell and harsh shit taste. But it kicked serious ass. Everybody wanted to smoke it, but no one wanted to be the guy holding it - you'd literally reek if you had as little as a joint. It was THE must have weed on Thursday night Kung Fu gatherings. Close the window, pull the curtains, light candles and incense, and off the lights.

Were't Thai sticks drizzled with Opium ?? Man that would be a crazy good smell!

I still have not seen brick weed myself but now I know that if I do, keep the beans !
The Thai sticks had opium sprayed on .
I'm thinkin it was an alcohol extraction of the opium and spray on the buds, they were crystalline in appearance.
Very tiny, some only as big as a Camel straight but would knock your head in circles.

Before 1980 we were getting the big ones w/ opium and then later were getting small, maybe 4" x 1/2" diameter. The larger were about twice that size. I had a buddy who had a half pound of the sm sticks, no opium and that ended the thai sticks. I didn't and haven't seen them since. And that black primo Afgahny hash was also the bomb back then at $10 a gram. Have I mentioned that I ❤ hash recently? Just checking?

Spice Aisle of any grocery store. Done that twice but I don't recommend it; From a legal standpoint it's not like having a Cannabis plant, they get actually pissed because they don't realize how many acres or hectares of that plant you'd need to actually mix up Heroin and that's exactly what they seem to think everyone would grow it for. I was a young guy when I did that and knew literally nothing about growing it. Still ended up with some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen! Silky to the touch, and the smell.... But yeah those days are over for me LOL, my dumb ass out in the garden with a butter knife and a pin slicing pods and leaving them in the Sun for a few hours until it's gooey, then peeling it off. Don't get me wrong, it's good! But that kinda thing isn't "cool" with any type of cop haha. Sometimes I laugh about that cause even though I only had a few plants, they would NOT have cared. works with grocery store spice rack aisle because the ones people eat on food are Persian Blue Papaver Somniferum, and I've also grown 3 other species of Papaver Somniferum but I really don't remember the "strains" anymore as it's been years and years.

I grow the poppies every year. Great medicine with multi uses.
Don't do the cut and scrape though, just teas or tincture for certain indications.
Seeds are available everywhere, even Burpee has a few varieties again.
It's a decent cash crop in parts to the south of US border now. IMG_1407.JPG IMG_1384.JPG IMG_1058.JPG
